8th Grade Red Volleyball Team
The 8th grade Red volleyball team closed out their season with a victory over Chelsea 25-13, 25-13, .25-14. Their finals record was 13-2-1. Great job goes out to the whole team: Selena Sandoval, Taylor Hawkins, Lily Varney, Lizzie Orwig, Karsyn Wolf, Kaitlin Hennessey, Abby Armstrong, Meghan Godfrey, Taylor Weirich, Hannah Bojarski, Sarah Koviack, Sara Calloway, and managers Maddy Weirich and Ryan Lozinski - from Coach Burgermeister
8th Grade White Volleyball Team
The 8th grade white volleyball team lost to Chelsea 18-25, 25-11, 23-25. Leaders for the team were Levi Lennard in assists, Bree Long in serving and hitting and Paige Anstine in digs.
7th Grade Red Volleyball Team
The 7th Grade Red Volleyball Team added one last won to their record, beating Chelsea 25-11, 25-23, 25-12. Jessie Steinman & Sydney Fuleky led the team with 8 aces each. And Lauren Nigh led the team in hitting!
The lady broncos ended 12-3-1 overall. Jordyn Reitz, Torrie Cleavenger, Jessie Steinman and Lauren Nigh did a great job setting all season for the Red Team. Emma Wagenhauser and Sydney Fuleky were standouts with their serving and aces. Britney Dieling, Izzy Striggow and Elizabeth Smart led the team with their defense. And Jayda Copsiac, Elena Malicki, and Crystal Jajou did an outstanding job with their hitting throughout the season! We are so very proud of all the hard work and dedication these girls have this year! Congrats on a great 2014 season!!
The 7th grade white volleyball team finished off their season by defeated Chelsea all three games. This brings the final season record to 14-3-1. All of the girls on the team should be commended for a great season! Great job to : Ellie Ostermyer, Mallory Schardt, Makenna Wilke, Madeline Ortiz, Layla Thomas, Abby Beck, Alyssa Griner, Caitlyn Schweitzer, Aubrie Zuenan, Hannah Bobroski, Madison Zielinski, and Carly Emerson. A special thanks to managers: Maggie Granata Kyriesten Cisek and Amber Dazley.
7th Grade White Football
The 7th grade white football team won last night versus Saline by a score of 32 to 6. Christian Brown scored twice on long runs. Michel Dunson and Mike Dulbs also scored touchdowns. Matt Kochoendorfer scored an extra point. The offensive line Jacob Kish, Evan Handy, and block Will Gorman blocked well for the Mules. The defense was led by the defensive line of Mitchel Harvey, Jake Martin, Alex Newcombe, and Mason Rimmer. Cage Dye, Thomas Jessman, and Jakob Herring also had good games on defense. The Mules finished 3-3.
Halloween Dance
Students & staff, please join Student Council at the Halloween Party tomorrow October 30 from 6:30 - 8:30, for a fun filled night of games and dancing, plus a costume contest! We will have spooky food eating contests too. Tickets will be on sale today during lunch or at the door for only $5.00. See you at the party!

Fundraiser money can be turned into the office today through Thursday. Thursday will be the last day it will be excepted.

Any girl interested in trying out for basketball in January and would like to get in shape can attend the high schools girls basketball conditioning which started this week October 27-30 and November 3-6. Conditioning will be Monday thru Thursday 3:00-4:15 for the next 2 weeks. This is optional as the junior high season isn't until January. If you have any questions please see Coach Burgermeister in room 27.
Sideline and Competitive Cheer
Informational packets and sign ups are now available in the main office for sideline and competitive cheer.

Red Ribbon Week
This is Red Ribbon Week! The purpose of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a visible commitment to a safe, healthy and drug-free lifestyle. The campaign is designed to accomplish the following:- to create awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs
- to support the decision to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The NJHS members have created a week of fun themes for students to participate in showing their commitment to being drug free. The themes are as follows:
Thursday, October 30: "Scare Off Drugs" (Students and teachers are allowed to wear costumes. Please keep in mind the dress code and school rules when choosing your outfit. No weapons, halter tops, shorts above fingertips, et cetera.)

6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
