The 8th grade white game was a back and forth match up that with some late game heroics, fell in the Broncos favor in a 23-14 victory over the Trojans.  The game opened up with the Broncos taking a 2-0 lead as the Trojan running back was tackled in their end zone for a safety and giving the ball to the Broncos.  After turning the ball over to Monroe, the Trojans scored and took a 6-2 lead.  The Broncos responded before halftime with Jared Nanney running the ball in for a touchdown and taking a botched PAT snap in for 2 points giving the Broncos a 10-6 lead at the half.  Bedford added to the lead in the second half on a 40-yard touchdown by Ian Tyburski to give the mules a 17-6 lead.  Monroe responded with a 36-yard touchdown pass and conversion making the game 17-14.  After a fumbled kick-off return by the Broncos, the defense made a great stand in the fourth quarter giving the ball back to the offense; and on the first offensive play, Ian Tyburski broke a 74-yard touchdown to put the game out of reach for Monroe.

The Bedford Boys' Cross Country Team dominated the SEC yesterday at the first Jamboree meet of the season held at Tecumseh.  The team was led by Michael Greeley and Brendan Burns who took first and second place.  Not only are they the fastest runners at BJHS, they are the fastest runner from any school in our league!  Seventh graders Davis Molnar and Brody Smith ran great  races and were the third and fourth runners for the team, and John Kraine turned in his second straight, nice run to place 5th for the team.  The guys will be running at Michigan State University on Friday.
