The 8th grade white team members should bring their clean uniforms to the office today.  Please put them in a bag with your name on it.  Coach Barr will pick them up on Friday after school.

7/8th GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL

The Bedford 7th grade red team won for the 11th straight game beating Monroe White 29-10.  The team finished the season 11-1.  Congratulations on a fine season. 

The Bedford 8th grade red team lost on a last second buzzer beater to Monroe White 20-19.  

The boys 7th grade white team concluded their season last night with a 25-24 victory over Adrian to finish with an 8 and 4 record.  Michael Greeley led the scoring with 11 points. Brock Andrews and Nolan Ansara each added 8 points, Evan Barr and Dylan Blossom both had 4 points and Andrew Fettig, Bryan Kaczanowski , and Kyle Hudgin each scored 2 points. Great season boys!!!

The 8th grade white basketball team finished the season with a bang as they held off Adrian 29-15.  All 13 kids played great tonight.  Max Birmingham led all scorers with 11. The Broncos finished the season 8 and 4.


REMINDER FOR BASKETBALL PLAYERS
A reminder to all boys’ basketball players; don’t forget to pick up your cookie dough at the high school between 4 and 5:30 p.m.

Any girl interested in trying out for Grappleretts for the upcoming wrestling season should plan to attend an informational meeting today, December 19, after school from 2:45 - 3:30 p.m.  Grapplerettes are a vital part of the wresting program.  They are involved in keeping score, stats, and running dual meets as well as tournaments.  See Coach Andrews in the gym first hour if you have any questions.

Congratulations to our robotics teams for doing very well at states this weekend.  The Loose Screws finished in he top 3 for design and were the third place overall team.  The Bionic Broncos seeded 7th in the state and were in the top three for spirit.  The Basement Dwellers and the Loose Screws both made it to the semi-finals.  Congratulations to all!

7/8th GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL

The boys 7th grade white team defeated a previously unbeaten Lincoln team yesterday 18-17.  Michael Greeley led all scorers with 13 points and made the game winning free throw with 5 seconds left in the game. Nolan Ansara scored 7 points, Evan Barr had 6, Zach Lewandowski and Andrew Fettig each knocked in 4 points, and Kyle Hudgin chipped in with 2 points.  The white teams will conclude their season at home on Wednesday against Adrian. 


The 8th grade white basketball team saw their 5 game winning streak come to an end last night against Ypsilanti Lincoln 21-11.  Lucas Hite played a great game on both ends of the floor leading the Broncos with 9 points.  The Broncos are now 7 and 4 on the season.


The Bedford 7th grade red team defeated Saline Gold 28-6.  Bedford started the 2nd half by outscoring them 17-0 led by Jake Garner with 16 points. 

The Bedford 8th grade red team dropped a tough one to Saline gold 23-16.  Saline ended the game by scoring the last 9 points.

7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL

The Bedford 7th grade red team won a thriller against Dexter Gold 15-11.  Great team defense and two clutch 3 pointers by Evan Roach and Maison Hullibarger sealed the victory. 

 The Bedford 8th grade red team beat Dexter Gold 16-10.  The entire team contributed to the win.



The 8th grade white basketball team, aka Cardiac Kids, won another nail-bitter last night to extend their winning streak to 5 games.  Skyler Lane chipped in 5 point,s and Cameron Braun added 4 to lead the Broncos in the first half.  Coming up big  in the 2nd half was Dominic Vasquez scoring 6, Carson Barr added 12 points, and Ben German chipped in 16.  Luke Hite had another great performance on the glass.


The boys 7th grade white team defeated Chelsea yesterday 24-9. Nolan Ansara led all scorers with 8 points followed by Brock Andrews with 7.  Dylan Blossom, Andrew Fettig, and Bryan Kaczanowski had 6 points a piece, Michael Greeley scored 4 points and Jake Day, Robbie Keister, and Zach Lewandowski knocked in 2 points.  The white teams will next travel to Lincoln next Monday.

Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in wrestling, practice began Monday, December 10, after school from 2:45 until 5:00 p.m.  Basketball players may join the wrestling team after basketball season is over.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Andrews in the gym before first hour.

"THEATER OF THE ABSURD"
Congratulations to Dr. Robinson and the "Theater of the Absurd" on a job well done last night at the Bedford Branch Library.  Dr. Robinson's students involved in the "Theater of the Absurd" entertained and delighted the audience with a hilarious puppet show just right for the holiday season! 

Today, the "Theater of the Absurd" will perform at all of the Bedford Elementary Schools.  Have fun!


7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL

The 8th grade white basketball team won another hotly contested game against Dexter 14-12 last night running their record to 6-3.  Leading the way for the Broncos was Carson Barr with 11 points.  Also playing good all-around game was Max Birmingham.  Ben German and Luke Hite did a phenomenal job on the offensive and defensive boards.  

The boys 7th grade white team lost at Dexter yesterday 22-11. Dylan Blossom led the Broncos in scoring with 6 points followed by Andrew Fettig with 5. Michael Greeley and Nolan Ansara each knocked in 4 points and Evan Barr, Jake Day, Brock Andrews, and Bryan Kaczanowski added 2 points. The team will play Chelsea next at home this Wednesday.


The Bedford 7th grade red team beat Chelsea Gold 23-15 last Monday evening to improve to 8-1 on the season.  Vince Adduci, Evan Roach, and Luke Beadle all played well. 

The Bedford 8th grade red team lost to Chelsea Gold 16-15.  Noah Vickery, Josh Long, Dominic Adduci, and Charles Hilsenbeck all played well.  




Good luck to the 7 and 8th grade boys’ white basketball teams.  Today they host Chelsea Blue beginning at 4:15 in the BJHS Gym.

Entry forms are available in the Media Center and Office, plus online at the site listed above. Entries can be dropped off in the Media Center and the entry deadline has been extended to December 7th. There is no limit on the number of entries you can turn in or the number of categories you can enter.

7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL
The Bedford 7th grade red team improved to 7-1 by beating Tecumseh 30-14.  Nick Lucarelli led 10 different scorers with 9 points. 

The Bedford 8th grade red team beat Tecumseh 21-10.   Jake Dunnett, Josh Long, Josh McCormick, and Caleb Tanner all played well. 

The 8th great white team won a thriller last night against Saline 20-16.  Ben German made a crucial free throw with 4 seconds left to send the game into overtime.  Lucas Hite was a dominant force on both ends of the floor leading the way for the Broncos with 10 points.  This win was the culmination of every player putting forth great effort and playing their role. "I am very proud of every member of our  team."

The boys 7th grade white team stung the hornets yesterday defeating Saline 18-12.  Brock Andrews led the scoring with 12 points. Bryan Kaczanowski had 8 points, Michael Greeley scored 7 points followed by Robbie Keister with 6.  Dylan Blossom, Jake Day, TJ Linderman, and Kyle Hudgin all scored 2 points. Everyone played great defense and rebounded to avenge an earlier loss.  The white teams travel to Dexter next Monday.

The BJHS Holiday Food Drive is still going strong.  Please bring in any food items, cleaning supplies, breakfast bars, or canned food.  We have many families in our community requesting assistance.  The food drive ends December 14.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - HOLIDAY PICTURE MAGNETS/LAMINATES
Holiday picture magnets and laminates were distributed to students today.  If you wish to keep them, please send in your payment.  The cost is $20 for both; HOWEVER, if you send in your payment within 48 hours and include the SANTA SAVINGS $5 OFF COUPON, the cost is only $15.  If you wish to purchase only one sheet, the cost is $12.  If you do not want the magnets and laminates, please return them to the BJHS Office.  

FOR ALL STUDENTS - ROBOTICS

Congratulations to the BJHS Bionic Broncos and the BJHS Loose Screws for winning the FTC Robotics competition this weekend!  After qualifying matches, the Bionic Broncos seeded 1st with a 7 win, 1 tie record.  The Loose screws seeded 2nd.  During Alliance selections for finals, the Broncos selected the Loose Screws to join them in Alliance 1.   This alliance dominated the finals, remaining undefeated through all finals matches.  They went on to win the competition with scores of 155-22 and 165 -86!   

Additionally, the Broncos won the Innovation Trophy for their innovative robot. 
Members of the Bionic Broncos include:Noah Driehorst, Daniel Knapp, TJ Eltschlager, Conner Nieman, Courtney Brothers, Youssef Moosa, Jared Grup, Kira Hanusz,  and Luke Bristoll.

The Loose Screws won the THINK trophy, for their engineering notebook and documentation of their thought process.  
Members of the Loose Screws include:  Max Kazmirski, Morgan Pross, Max Marquardt, Matthew Golovoy, Jakob Therkelsen, Brandon Koenemann, Gabriel Boudagh Zach Prange, Jocelyn Guzman, and Logan Floyd.

Additionally, a community team consisting of some BJHS students, the Basement Dwellers, was awarded the Connect Trophy this year. Members of the Basement Dwellers are:  Sophie Dettling, Steven Kraine, John Kraine, Shane Miller  and Shaina Shah.

All 3 teams will be advancing to states at Plymouth-Canton on Dec. 15.  

At the FLL level, congratulations to BJHS students on the Techno Tigers for finishing 9th out of the top 48 FLL teams in the state for robot performance!  BJHS Members of the Techno Tigers include Emily Grim, Olivia Miller, Maureen Lingle, Katie Dobson and Abby Dobson. 

Great job BJHS Robotics students.  


7TH GRADE - STUDENTS INTERACT
Permission slips for Students Interact should all have been turned in.  If you are attending Students Interact on Wednesday, be sure to ask your teachers for assignments for Wednesday.  Remember, you are responsible for your work for Wednesday.   On Wednesday morning, meet in the cafeteria for attendance.  Do not go to first hour.   

FOR ALL STUDENTS - REFLECTIONS CONTEST - DEADLINE EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 7th
The PTSA Reflections Arts \contest is now accepting entries in 6 categories: Visual Arts, Literature, Photography, Film/Video Production, Musical Composition, and Dance Choreography. A set of rules are posted in the Media Center windows and are also available in the office. You can also check online at http://bedfordptareflections.weebly.com/.

Entry forms are available in the Media Center and Office, plus online at the site listed above. Entries can be dropped off in the Media Center and the entry deadline has been extended to December 7th. There is no limit on the number of entries you can turn in or the number of categories you can enter.

Every entry will get a prize. There will also be a grand prize drawing for a $25 gift certificate. Would you like to increase your chance of winning? Refer-a-Friend! When you submit an entry, a card will be delivered to their homeroom. Give that card to a friend and if they turn in a qualified Reflections entry and that card, you both get an extra ticket in the grand prize drawing!

BIBLE STUDY - CANCELLED THIS WEEK
Due to a school meeting, Bible Study will NOT meet this week Thursday, December 6, 2012.

7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL
The Bedford boys 7th grade white team defeated Monroe last night 23-11 in a well balanced scoring attack by the Broncos.  Michael Greeley led all scorers with 12 points followed by Bryan Kaczanowski with 7.  Nolan Ansara chipped in with 5 points and Zach Lewandowski, TJ Linderman, Dylan Blossom, and Kyle Hudgin each had 4 points.  Brock Andrews, Evan Barr, and Jake Day knocked in a basket a piece.  The white teams will next play Saline on Wednesday .


The 8th grade white team ran their record to 4 and 3 as they were able to beat Monroe 28-12.  Max Birmingham played an incredible all around game scoring 5 points.  Carson Barr, Ben German and Dominic Vasquez led the Bronco's in scoring with 13,10 and 6 respectively.

The Bedford 7th grade red team avenged its only loss of the season by beating Ypsilanti 20-14.  The Broncos were led by Zach Haigy, Brady Long, Bryce Krimmel and Jake Garner. 

The Bedford 8th grade red team lost to Ypsilanti 28-15.  Charles Hilsenbeck, Josh McCormick, Dominic Adduci and Justin Sidoti all played well. 
  


FOR 7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS INTERESTED IN WRESTLING
Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in wrestling, practice begins Monday, December 10, after school from 2:45 until 5:00 p.m.  Basketball players may join the wrestling team after basketball season is over.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Andrews in the gym before first hour.

7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL
The 8th grade white basketball team evened their record to 3 and 3 last Thursday night beating Adrian 26-10. Leading the way for the Bronco’s was Jeff Schmidt, Schuyler Lane and Josh Kohler.   Also playing well was David Jeffers, Dominic Vasquez, and Nate Amos.
Good luck to our 7 and 8th grade boys’ red basketball teams.  Today they will host Ypsilanti.  Games begin at 4:15 p.m. in the BJHS Gym
