FOR ALL STUDENTS - HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE - ENDS TOMORROW
The BJHS Holiday Food Drive is still going strong.  Please bring in any food items, cleaning supplies, breakfast bars, or canned food.  We have many families in our community requesting assistance.  The food drive ends December 14.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - LAST CHANCE - LOST AND FOUND
Last chance for lost and found items.  Please see the Lost and Found table in the cafeteria as well as the Lost and Found can outside of the cafeteria for any missing items.  These items will be donated to the Lions Den on Friday, December 14th.

FOR ALL STUDENTS MEDIA CENTER REMINDER
Tomorrow is December 14, and it is another due date for books from the Media Center.  Be sure to return or renew all books by the end of the day tomorrow.  Stop down to the Media Center if you are not sure when your book is due. 

FOR ALL STUDENTS - HOLIDAY PICTURE MAGNETS/LAMINATES
Holiday picture magnets and laminates were distributed to students yesterday.  If you wish to keep them, please send in your payment.  The cost is $20 for both; HOWEVER, if you send in your payment and include the SANTA SAVINGS $5 OFF COUPON, the cost is only $15.  If you wish to purchase only one sheet, the cost is $12.  If you do not want the magnets and laminates, please return them to the BJHS Office.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - BOOK OF THE MONTH CLUB - IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN
Attention all readers!  It's not too late to join the Bedford Junior High School Book Club.If you enjoy reading and would like to meet others who share your interest, please make plans to attend the next meeting on January 8, 2013, to discuss the book Between Shades.  The Book of the Month Club will meet on the second Tuesday of each month beginning January 8.  This is a great way to meet new people and be involved in your school. For more information, or to pick up a copy of the reading list for this year, please see Mrs. Lauer in room # 50.  

FOR ALL STUDENTS - THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT - PENNY HOCKEY BOARDS
It’s the perfect Christmas gift!  Buy a penny hockey board.  They are only $2.00 at the concession stand during all lunch hours.  These games were made by the 8th grade technology education classes.   They are loads of fun, and you don’t even have to go to the store.  Buy them while supplies last. 

7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL

The Bedford 7th grade red team won a thriller against Dexter Gold 15-11.  Great team defense and two clutch 3 pointers by Evan Roach and Maison Hullibarger sealed the victory. 

 The Bedford 8th grade red team beat Dexter Gold 16-10.  The entire team contributed to the win.



The 8th grade white basketball team, aka Cardiac Kids, won another nail-bitter last night to extend their winning streak to 5 games.  Skyler Lane chipped in 5 point,s and Cameron Braun added 4 to lead the Broncos in the first half.  Coming up big  in the 2nd half was Dominic Vasquez scoring 6, Carson Barr added 12 points, and Ben German chipped in 16.  Luke Hite had another great performance on the glass.


The boys 7th grade white team defeated Chelsea yesterday 24-9. Nolan Ansara led all scorers with 8 points followed by Brock Andrews with 7.  Dylan Blossom, Andrew Fettig, and Bryan Kaczanowski had 6 points a piece, Michael Greeley scored 4 points and Jake Day, Robbie Keister, and Zach Lewandowski knocked in 2 points.  The white teams will next travel to Lincoln next Monday.

FOR 7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS INTERESTED IN WRESTLING
Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in wrestling, practice began Monday, December 10, after school from 2:45 until 5:00 p.m.  Basketball players may join the wrestling team after basketball season is over.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Andrews in the gym before first hour.

FOR ALL ATHLETES NOT IN SEASON
Attention all athletes who are not in season: weight training began at the high school, Monday, December 10, from 2:45 until 4:00 p.m.  Training will be held Monday through Thursday.

FOR ALL BOYS - COMMUNITY EDUCATION - BOYS' BASKETBALL
Now is the time to register for Community Education Boys' Basketball!  Forms are available in the school office or at the Community Education Office.  The deadline to register is December 14.
