FOR ALL STUDENTS - HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
The BJHS Holiday Food Drive is still going strong.  Please bring in any food items, cleaning supplies, breakfast bars, or canned food.  We have many families in our community requesting assistance.  The food drive ends December 14.


FOR ALL STUDENTS - LAST CHANCE - LOST AND FOUND
Last chance for lost and found items.  Please see the Lost and Found table in the cafeteria as well as the Lost and Found can outside of the cafeteria for any missing items.  These items will be donated to the Lions Den on Friday, December 14th.


FOR ALL STUDENTS - HOLIDAY PICTURE MAGNETS/LAMINATES
Holiday picture magnets and laminates were distributed to students yesterday.  If you wish to keep them, please send in your payment.  The cost is $20 for both; HOWEVER, if you send in your payment and include the SANTA SAVINGS $5 OFF COUPON, the cost is only $15.  If you wish to purchase only one sheet, the cost is $12.  If you do not want the magnets and laminates, please return them to the BJHS Office.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - BOOK OF THE MONTH CLUB - IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN
Attention all readers!  It's not too late to join the Bedford Junior High School Book Club.If you enjoy reading and would like to meet others who share your interest, please make plans to attend the next meeting on January 8, 2013, to discuss the book Between Shades.  The Book of the Month Club will meet on the second Tuesday of each month beginning January 8.  This is a great way to meet new people and be involved in your school. For more information, or to pick up a copy of the reading list for this year, please see Mrs. Lauer in room # 50.  


FOR ALL STUDENTS - THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT - PENNY HOCKEY BOARDS
It’s the perfect Christmas gift!  Buy a penny hockey board.  They are only $2.00 at the concession stand during all lunch hours.  These games were made by the 8th grade technology education classes.   They are loads of fun, and you don’t even have to go to the store.  Buy them while supplies last. 

"THEATER OF THE ABSURD"
Congratulations to Dr. Robinson and the "Theater of the Absurd" on a job well done last night at the Bedford Branch Library.  Dr. Robinson's students involved in the "Theater of the Absurd" entertained and delighted the audience with a hilarious puppet show just right for the holiday season! 

Today, the "Theater of the Absurd" will perform at all of the Bedford Elementary Schools.  Have fun!


7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL

The 8th grade white basketball team won another hotly contested game against Dexter 14-12 last night running their record to 6-3.  Leading the way for the Broncos was Carson Barr with 11 points.  Also playing good all-around game was Max Birmingham.  Ben German and Luke Hite did a phenomenal job on the offensive and defensive boards.  

The boys 7th grade white team lost at Dexter yesterday 22-11. Dylan Blossom led the Broncos in scoring with 6 points followed by Andrew Fettig with 5. Michael Greeley and Nolan Ansara each knocked in 4 points and Evan Barr, Jake Day, Brock Andrews, and Bryan Kaczanowski added 2 points. The team will play Chelsea next at home this Wednesday.


The Bedford 7th grade red team beat Chelsea Gold 23-15 last Monday evening to improve to 8-1 on the season.  Vince Adduci, Evan Roach, and Luke Beadle all played well. 

The Bedford 8th grade red team lost to Chelsea Gold 16-15.  Noah Vickery, Josh Long, Dominic Adduci, and Charles Hilsenbeck all played well.  




Good luck to the 7 and 8th grade boys’ white basketball teams.  Today they host Chelsea Blue beginning at 4:15 in the BJHS Gym.

Good luck to the 7 and 8th grade boys’ red basketball teams.  They will travel to Chelsea play their games.  A reminder to teachers and athletes, there is an early 2:00 p.m. dismissal to allow for travel time.

FOR 7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS INTERESTED IN WRESTLING
Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in wrestling, practice began Monday, December 10, after school from 2:45 until 5:00 p.m.  Basketball players may join the wrestling team after basketball season is over.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Andrews in the gym before first hour.

FOR ALL ATHLETES NOT IN SEASON
Attention all athletes who are not in season: weight training began at the high school, Monday, December 10, from 2:45 until 4:00 p.m.  Training will be held Monday through Thursday.

FOR ALL BOYS - COMMUNITY EDUCATION - BOYS' BASKETBALL
Now is the time to register for Community Education Boys' Basketball!  Forms are available in the school office or at the Community Education Office.  The deadline to register is December 14.
