STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Grace B. is an outstanding student that always has a smile on her face, is willing to help others, and has a commitment to her school work and love of music!

LACROSSE
The Bedford Jr. High Lacrosse team hosted Belleville for their second game of the season.  This game was played at the Lacrosse Stadium under very windy conditions but that did not affect the play of the Bedford team.  Once again there was unselfish play by the team with shots coming from 11 players.  Goals were scored tonight by Caden F with 3, Dillon D with 3, Jacob D with 2, Josh P with 2, and the following players with 1 each, Josh G, Gavin D and Eryk M.  Also in on the offense were Ryan N, Jack M, Austin S and Josh P each with an assist.  The defense played another solid game holding Belleville to 5 goals tonight.  The next game is Saturday against Perrysburg at Perrysburg.  The team appreciates all your continued support at our games.

SOFTBALL
7TH GRADE
Your Bedford Broncos 7th grade softball team split last nights double header against the Monroe Trojans.

8TH GRADE
8th grade softball split with Monroe last night.  The first game was 4-15. The second game was 11-10.

M-STEP TESTING
M-step testing begins:  
8th Grade testing is April 11-12, April 25-26 and April 28th
6th Grade testing is May 1, and May 3-4
7th grade testing is May 9, May 11, and  May 16-17

Be sure your student gets a good night’s sleep and eats a hearty breakfast so they are ready to do their best! Please help them to make sure their chromebook is charged everyday and that they have a pair of earbuds for the listening portion of the test. Also, NO electronic devices are allowed in the testing area. This includes cell phones, Apple watches and or any other device. Any disruption can void the test of everyone in the room so please make sure devices are powered off and in their locker or left home.

DRESS CODE
With the warmer temperatures, please keep in mind we adhere to a dress code at the junior high school. Here is a portion of the dress code:

Shorts and skirts need to be past the palm of your hand and touch a portion of your fingers
Muscle shirts cannot have jagged cuts and must have an appropriate tank under the arms
All tops must have straps that are 2 fingertip widths or wider and must cover all parts of undergarments.
All tops must cover the waistband of your pants.

You will be asked to call home immediately if you are violating the dress code.

BOOK DRIVE
Need to get some spring cleaning done? Starting May 1, there will be a book drive. All donations will be given to the Family House of Toledo to help homeless families. Any and all books will be accepted from May 1 to May 5. Donations may be dropped of in the junior high school office.

BLUE FLOATS
Blue floats will be on sale for the last time today during all lunches for $1. All proceeds go to Autism Awareness.

DROP OFF ITEMS
Students, if your parents drop off items for you during the day, they will be held at the front door with our door monitor. Students will only be called down during class change so as not to interrupt class time. Please listen to announcements during the class changes for your name. At that time, you may pick up your items from the door monitor.

YOUNG WRITER'S DAY
The Junior High will be holding a Young Writer's Day later this school year.  This event celebrates creative writing and allows students to share and develop an original work of fiction in a safe and structured environment. This is open to all grade levels. If you are interested, pick up a form from Mrs. Matlow in room 35 or Mr. Lorenz in room 38.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Top collections !! This year we will be collecting box tops and having a friendly competition between home rooms. This is an easy way to fund raise for the extra things our classrooms my need throughout the year. Just ask your students and parents to clip and save. Deposit them in the collection boxes with your homeroom name on them (or place in Mrs. Nimigean's mailbox in the high school or Mr. Muck's mailbox in the junior high).We will collect for 3 months for each giveaway.Winners will be awarded the first of December, March and June (top collector in each building). Make sure you get them turned in for a homeroom treat!

NDER 
Students who are leaving school early for an appointment should remember to come to the office first thing in the morning before school starts to receive an exit pass. They should not give their notes to their teachers. Do not wait until lunch to receive your exit pass.

SAFETY REMINDER
When getting off of the bus in the morning, be sure to stay on the sidewalk to get to the junior high. Do not walk on the cement island.

CHROMEBOOKS
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break.

HEALTH ROOM VISITS
You must report to your next hour teacher before coming to the health room unless it is an emergency. That way your teacher knows where you are.

PARKING LOT REPAIR
Parents: Sorry for the inconvenience, but due to our front parking lot being repaired, you will need to pick up and drop off your student or their items to the back door. This should only take 1 day so tomorrow we will be back to normal. Thank you!

The girls track team beat Adrian last night 82-46. Great job lady Broncos! Congratulations to all or our runners.

LACROSSE
The Bedford Junior High School Lacrosse team had their first complete game of the season. The team came out right from the beginning with Josh P. taking the initial face off and going down and scoring. Josh would later have another goal for the night. Also scoring for the Bedford Broncos were Dillon D with 3, and 1 each for the following: Hayden B., Austin S., Jacob D., Gavin D., and Caden F. and 2 of the defensemen, Joel R. and Jeffrey P. They also played a great game defensively with Chase B. in goal allowing no goals. The final score was Bedford 12 and Grosse Ille 0. They have another game coming up on Thursday at the Lacrosse Stadium against a very tough Belleville Team. They would love to see you there to support the Lacrosse Team.
