FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2017

CROSS COUNTRY
BOYS
The junior high boys cross country team won the 2nd SEC jamboree of the season in commanding fashion by finishing 5 runners in the top 7 out of the 250 runners in the race to completely dominate the other 9 teams.  Collin B captured his first league championship by winning the 2 mile race.   If you see Collin today, give your league champ a high five.  Ethan L and Daniel S ran great races to finish in under 12 minutes.  Preston M, Parker M, Preston U, Isiah M, Simon V, Kyle R, Brandon H, Justin H, and Ethan T were just a few of the 18 Bedford runners to run personal best times.  Great job boys.

ALL MULES MATTER
For those students that received an email about joining All Mules Mater, please come to the Media Center Monday, October 2nd during your homeroom.

PICTURE RETAKES
Picture retakes are scheduled for October 26, 2017 during homeroom.  Forms can be picked up at the door monitors desk.

7TH AND 8TH GRADE BOYS
Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in basketball there will be an open gym this Sunday Oct 1 at the junior high gym from 4-5:30pm.

Join Mrs. Carnicom Oct 5th for the Bulletin board club.  We will be creating beautiful masterpieces throughout the school year to keep our halls looking fresh. ​We will meet in room 230 and getting started right away. The club will go until 3:30 so make sure you have a ride home.  There will be a sign up sheet in her room so please make sure to sign up.  

DRESS CODE
Students, while the temps stay warm, be sure to dress for the weather and for our dress code here at the school. While we certainly need to stay cool, we also need to keep our shorts and shirts within the ranges set forth in the dress code. 

VOLLEY FOR THE CURE 
Bedford Varsity Volleyball is sponsoring a VOLLEY FOR THE CURE night on Thursday, October 12th in the Bedford High School gym to benefit cancer research and help those living with cancer.

"Volley for the Cure" T-shirts will be sold next week during lunches. T-shirts will cost $10. Then wear your T-shirt to the games on October 12, 2017 and you will get in FREE. 

Cardiovascular Testing Offered
This will be held at the High School on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM.  Any student from 12 - 25 years old are eligible for the test.  If you are interested, schedule your appointment and complete the paperwork.  Go on line at  www.wimbledonhealthpartners.com/bedfordor call 1-855-200-8262.

8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone should be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches. 

HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.

VOLLEYBALL
7TH GRADE WHITE
The 7th Grade White Volleyball Team added another win to their record last night by defeating Dexter 25-22, 29-31, 25-11. Hannah F led the team with 14 aces. Alaina A was right behind with 10 aces and Carmen Z with 6. London Z and Casey D led the team with their defense. Taylor D did a great job on the net with 5 kills! The girls head into the SEC tournament this weekend in Saline.

7TH GRADE RED
The seventh grade RED volleyball team continues they're undefeated season by defeating Adrian yesterday with the scores of 18-25, 25-19 and 25-14. Megan W led the team in assists and hitting, Reagan H and Chole E were dynamic on defense and Ava G propelled the team to victory with her super serves. Keep up the good work girls! 

8TH GRADE WHITE
The 8th grade White Volleyball team pulled out a close match last night against Dexter to improve to 4-0 on the season.   The scores were 25-16,21-25 and 25-22.  Anna C lead the team on defense with 13 passes, Peighton B and Jalynn Z each added 9.  Luci N and Melanie C had 7 hits for the lady broncos.  Krista S had 9 aces for the night.  This was a great team effort to get the win. Our next home game in Monday at 4:15 against Adrain.  See you there.

8TH GRADE RED
The 8th grade red volleyball team lost to Adrian 23-25, 25-15, 23-25. Leaders for the team were Michaela U and Katelyn A in serving, Josie R in setting, and Sophia F in passing and hitting.

VOLLEYBALL
7TH GRADE WHITE
The 7th Grade Bedford white team continues their winning streak of 3-0 by defeating Tecumseh 25-9, 25-12, 25-10. Alaina A led the team with serving 14 aces. Emma G also had 7 aces. Marina S and Payten S did a great job on defense with 4 digs each! And Carmen Z did a great job setting. The girls travel to Dexter on Wednesday.

7TH GRADE RED
 Seventh grade red team defeated Lincoln with the scores of 25 -15, 25-9 and 25-8. The team was led by Rylee H with her dynamic defense and Faith U with her strong hitting. Leah B and Grace F did an awesome job with their passing. Come cheer on the Red  team on Wednesday when they face Adrian. 

8TH GRADE WHITE

Jalynn Z lead the team in hitting and Keira L was the lead passer for the white team.  The White team travels to Dexter on Wednesday and is back at home next Monday.
