8th Grade Red Volleyball Team
The 8th grade Red Volleyball team pushed its record to 2-0 on the season by defeating Monroe 25-10, 24-26 & 25-2. Karsyn Wolf single handedly served Monroe off the court in games one and three. Karsyn served 23 total points and never missed a serve. Hannah Bojarski led the offense with 4 kills. The Red Team is off on Wednesday and travel to Saline for the SEC tournament on Saturday.

8th Grade White Volleyball Team
The 8th grade white volleyball team beat Lincoln 25-7, 25-19 & 25-17. Leaders for the team were Maddy Andra in serving and assists, Bree Long in receptions and Becca Crawford in hitting and digs.

7th Grade Red Volleyball Team
The 7th grade red team beat Monroe in all 3 games last night. Sydney Fuleky led the team with an outstanding 19 serving points. Lauren Nigh did a great job setting and Jada Copsiac did a great job on defense! The girls also played hard at the SEC tournament this past weekend, falling short to Saline in the Semi-Finals. Our next game is home on Monday, come on out and show your support!

7th Grade White Volleyball Team
The 7th grade white volleyball team traveled to Lincoln yesterday and defeated Lincoln all three games. Madison Zielinski did a great job serving and Mallory Schardt excelled on defense.

ZOMBIE RUN

When: Saturday, October 18th* - Rain or Shine, registration begins at 4:45pm and the race starts at 5:45pm.
Where: Indian Creek Park

Spirit Wear 
We have had a record amount of spirit wear orders this Fall. In fact, orders are still coming in! We had to close the store a bit later than expected on September 19th to accommodate all the orders. We expect the orders to be fulfilled & delivered to you the week of October 6th. 


Chromebooks

6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events.  Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook.  Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
  • I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
  • My Chromebook will never be left unattended
  • I will store my Chromebook in my secured locker at BJHS while at sports practices or after school activities.



White Out Shirts

White Out Shirts today for $5.00 at the 7th and 8th home football games starting Tuesday from 5-7 PM
*Please note, the Whiteout Varsity Game will be played on Thursday, October 2nd   at 7:00 PM.

 Art Club

Art Club will be held on Thursdays starting October 2, 2014 from 2:30-3:30 PM and continue every Thursday until Christmas Break. (except for days when school is not in session)
NJHS Meeting
There will be a meeting tomorrow October 1st during 4a and 4b in the choir room. NJHS members please speak with your 4th hour teachers and get any work you will miss while attending the meeting. If this is your lunch time please bring your lunch with you to the meeting.
Volley for the Cure t-shirts
Teachers and Students if you would like to put an "In honor of" or "In memory of" name on the Volley for the Cure shirts for Varsity Volleyball, this is a last call. Pink forms are in the office and are due tomorrow morning to Ms. Manore, Mr Burgermeister or Mrs Quinlan.
Bedford Public Library Announcement
I want to make you aware that the Bedford Branch Library will be closed on Monday, October 6 for staff training and on Monday, October 13 for Columbus Day. Any students that go to the Library after school should ride the bus home or a make other arrangements.

Girls Cross Country Team 
The girls cross country team competed at the Clay Eagle Invitational on Saturday, finishing 7th out of 14 teams.  Congratulations to Alli Smith for a lifetime best running time of 12 minutes, 59 seconds, which earned her a 6th place award.  Congratulations also to Madison Zimmerman for her lifetime best race time, beating her original record by one minute.  Baylee Canning, Brianna Pauli, Makayla Orner, Elizabeth Chang, and Brooke Flowers all landed in the top 100 out of 170 athletes.  Great job!  The lady broncos next race will take place this Saturday at Fostoria High School.  

Boys Cross Country Team
The boys cross country team went down to Ohio on Saturday and crushed the 21 teams at the Clay Invitational to win another meet and earn another sweet trophy.  Even though it was an all around great team effort, they were led by outstanding performances by Jacob Reaume, Cade Sutterfield, Michael Siesel and Nathan Kowalski.  After this weekends race the boys team is now ranked in the top 5 in the state of Michigan!  The guys are traveling back to Ohio next weekend where they will hopefully continue there winning ways at the Fostoria Invitational.  Great Job guys and good luck on the rest of your season!

7th Grade Volleyball Team
Bedford was host to the SEC 7th grade volleyball tournament on Saturday Both Bedford teams played very well. The white team finished as the runner-up of the tournament. The team was led by Abby Beck's awesome serving and Carly Emerson was instrumental in many wins throughout the day. Great job girls!

8th Grade Red Volleyball Team
The team traveled to Chelsea for their first match and came home with a 25-11, 25-16, 25-19 victory.  Selena Sandoval and Liley Varney led the service attack with 13 and 12 service points.  The team did a nice job getting their first win of the season.  The Red team is now 1-0 and plays their first home game on Monday. Come out and support your lady Broncos.

8th Grade White Volleyball Team
They beat Dexter 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.  Leaders for the the team were Levi Lennard in assissts, Kerragan Gandee in serving, Bree Long and Kylie Schroeder in hitting and Becca Crawford in digs.

7th Grade Red Volleyball Team
They had their first win last night against Chelsea, beating them in all 3 games. Sydney Fuleky & Elena Malicki led the team with their serving points, they each had 8. Torrie Cleavenger did a great job setting for the Broncos. Both teams will be hosting the SEC tournament this Saturday at the high school. Come on out and show your support!!

7th Grade White Volleyball Team
They  swept Dexter in their home opener yesterday with the scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-22. Madeline Ortiz led with team in serving with 19 serves, and Alyssa Griner did an awesome job on offense. Way to go girls!
Boys Cross Country Team
The boys cross country team ran in the second SEC championship meet on Wednesday.  Noah Scheffer took 2nd overall with a personal best time of 11:10 for the 2 mile race.  Jacob Reaume also ran his best race ever and finished at just over 11:30.  Other personal best times were run by 7th graders Noah Bock and Reece Thomas.  8th grader Ethan Chevalier and Michael Seisel also ran great races to help the team.  The guys travel down to Ohio on Saturday to race against the best schools in the Toledo area.

Welcome Back Dance

The Welcome Back Dance is today after school until 4:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased during your lunch hour or at the dance. If you have a PTSA membership, you get in FREE! Dodgeball, dancing and snacking - what a fun time!!!

Remember to bring extra cash for the pizza, popcorn and candy.  We will see you there!
*All grades are welcome 6th-8th!

Knitting & Crocheting Club

Knitting & Crocheting Club will be held on Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 in room #29 beginning today.  Learn to knit and crochet.  No need to bring anything to the first meeting, unless you have a project you are working on.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Adkins in room #29. 

Art Club

Fundraiser

Students, our Frankenmuth Fundraiser has completed. If you did not bring your fundraiser order form in yet, please be sure to bring it by Friday. Please turn in during announcements. Friday is the deadline for late orders. ALL CHECKS FOR THE FUNDRAISER SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO BEDFORD JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.
