COMMUNITY 7 & 8 GRADE DANCE
Whiteford, Blissfield, Summerfield, Dundee, Ida, Bedford, Britton Defied are gathering at Whiteford High School Gym on Friday, April 4, 2014.  Doors Open at 6:30 PM, Pick up is at 9:30PM.  Dancing to the sounds of DJ Mike.  $1.00 Pizza, Soda Pop, Water and Snow Cones.  There will be a photo booth available.  Admission is $5.00.

ART STUDENTS
Several BJHS art students have their work on display at the Bedford Public Library this year for the art show.  Student art will remain on display at the library through April 11th.  Come out and support our BJHS art students! 

GIRLS GOLF
All girls interested in playing on the golf team next fall - The new head coach will be introduced in the High School Ccompetitive Gym at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, April 1st.  Please come and meet the new head coach! 

MATH-A-THON
Keep getting those pledges.  Remember, pledges of at least $100 means you will be invited to this year's lock-in.  We will be turning in pledges this Friday, April 4.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Brown in room # 230. 

THE BJHS ANNUAL LITERARY MAGAZINE IS BACK!
The BJHS Literary Magazine is back!  Submit any poems or short stories (appropriate).  The box will be in the junior high school office.  Please, no anonymous submissions allowed.  Thank you for submitting your masterpiece into our publications class Literary Magazine.

AFTER SCHOOL CODING -  GRADES 6, 7, 8  
After School Coding Club meets in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m..  Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.

If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

BE PROMPT!  DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt!  The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.  

SAVE YOUR POP TABS!
Here is your chance to take part in a community service project!  Bring in your pop tabs, and they will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. They will be recycled for cash to help the children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a Children's Hospital that helps children in need of medical care and allows the family to stay close to the hospital.  Bring in your pop tabs now to the office or to Mrs. Currie's room

NJHS students should remember to check their email for upcoming events.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings, it is unsafe to walk through the depot.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. QUIZ BOWL
Congratulations to the 7th grade Quiz Bowl Team!  They are the 7th Grade Monroe County Quiz Bowl Champions!!

Congratulations once again to all students who participated in this year's Michigan League Test.  Our 6th grade team scored 2nd place for our region.  Our 7th grade team tied for 3rd place for our region.  Our region consists of 6 counties.

Also, Ewan Jones tied for 1st place for our 7th grade team.  Ewan's name was mistakenly omitted from the original announcement.

All 6th grade parents are invited to attend the “Now what?” Parent Chromebook Meeting next Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in the Bedford Junior High School Cafeteria from 7:00-8:00 p.m. The meeting is to go over the chromebooks with parents.

Today is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day.  Please help us raise money for the fight against Cerebral Palsy.  Buy a wrist band at lunch for only ONE dollar!

It is Math-a-thon time.  Math-a-thon is a fun way to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The money raised will help children who have cancer.  If you would like to participate in this year's Math-a-thon, please see your math 

THE BJHS ANNUAL LITERARY MAGAZINE IS BACK!
The BJHS Literary Magazine is back!  Submit any poems or short stories (appropriate).  The box will be in the junior high school office.  Please, no anonymous submissions allowed.  Thank you for submitting your masterpiece into our publications class Literary Magazine

AFTER SCHOOL CODING --  GRADES 6, 7, 8
Do you want to have some fun after school?  On Tuesdays, attend the After School  Coding Club in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m..  Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.  

AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Students should ride the bus home after school.  If they wish to attend or watch an after school event, parents should bring them back to school.  Students are NOT allowed to wander the hallways during events.  If you do come back to school, or stay after school to participate in a club, please be sure to stay in the area you belong in.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

BE PROMPT!  DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt!  The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.  

SAVE YOUR POP TABS!
Here is your chance to take part in a community service project!  Bring in your pop tabs, and they will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. They will be recycled for cash to help the children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a Children's Hospital that helps children in need of medical care and allows the family to stay close to the hospital.  Bring in your pop tabs now to the office or to Mrs. Currie's room

NJHS students should remember to check their email for upcoming events.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings, it is unsafe to walk through the depot.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. 6TH GRADE ORCHESTRA STUDENTS
Sixth grade orchestra students should please bring their chromebooks to orchestra class this week.
