NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
Any NJHS member interested in an officer position, please see Mr. Hurley. Candidates will be interviewed next week.

CROSS COUNTRY
The Bedford Junior High girls performed very well at the SEC Jamboree at Tecumseh on Wednesday, placing 3 girls in the top 10 overall.  Leading the way was Alexa Libstorff, 3rd; Ashley Wagenhauser, 5th; and Alexis Harpel, 7th.  Sydney Lent also ran well and set a personal best time.

The Bedford Boys' Cross Country Team dominated the SEC yesterday at the first Jamboree meet of the season held at Tecumseh.  The team was led by Michael Greeley and Brendan Burns who took first and second place.  Not only are they the fastest runners at BJHS, they are the fastest runner from any school in our league!  Seventh graders Davis Molnar and Brody Smith ran great  races and were the third and fourth runners for the team, and John Kraine turned in his second straight, nice run to place 5th for the team.  The guys will be running at Michigan State University on Friday.

JUNIOR HIGH GOLF CLUB - NEW THIS YEAR!
The junior high golf club is a new club formed to encourage golf competition at the younger grade levels.  This will be a great way to introduce students to competitive golf and to have fun!  You must have already taken golf lessons or a clinic or be able to walk nine holes carrying a golf bag and keeping pace of play.
All matches will be played at the Legacy or Giant Oak Golf Course, and players should arrive by 3:00 p.m.
If you are interested in playing, pick up a flyer in the junior high school office and contact Coach Smith by today, Thursday, September 13.  The first match will be on Friday, September 14. If you cannot start this week, you can certainly start next week!
