7th and 8th Grade Volleyball
All 7th and 8th grade volleyball players are reminded that their banquet is this Wednesday night after school in the cafeteria until 3:30. Please bring your washed uniform with you.
Any girl interested in trying out for basketball in January and would like to get in shape can attend the high schools girls basketball conditioning starting next week. Conditioning will be Monday -Thursday 3:00 - 4:15 for the next two weeks. October 27-30 and November 3-6. This is optional as the junior high season isn't until January. If you have any questions, please see Coach Burgermeister in Room #27.
Anti- Bullying Poster Contest
Almost everyone has seen someone being picked on by a bully. It's not nice.
Bullies can make school an unpleasant place for their victims.
What are some things YOU can do to make your school a place where no one gets bullied?
Create a poster that shows what YOU can do to stop bullying at BJHS. Your poster must be turned in to Mrs. Currie in Room 220 TODAY.
Rules and further information can be found outside the art room, office or room 220.

6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...

Students will be voting with coins during lunches next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during all lunches.

Red Ribbon Week
This is Red Ribbon Week! The purpose of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a visible commitment to a safe, healthy and drug-free lifestyle. The campaign is designed to accomplish the following:- to create awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs
- to support the decision to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The NJHS members have created a week of fun themes for students to participate in showing their commitment to being drug free. The themes are as follows:
Monday, October 27: "Don't Let Drugs Win" (Students and teachers are encouraged to wear any type of apparel related to sports.)
Tuesday, October 28: "Team Up Against Drugs" (Each grade will be assigned a color to wear this day. The teachers will also be given a designated color.)
Wednesday, October 29: "I'm Crazy, But NOT For Drugs" (Students and teachers are encouraged to look as crazy as possible. This could mean crazy hair, backwards clothing, mismatch clothing, et cetera...)
Thursday, October 30: "Scare Off Drugs" (Students and teachers are allowed to wear costumes. Please keep in mind the dress code and school rules when choosing your outfit. No weapons, halter tops, shorts above fingertips, et cetera.)
