STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Mrs Brown nominated Dylan H for student of the week. Dylan is always very pleasant, conscientious, and ready to learn.  Dylan is also always ready to help whenever he can, with no rewards expected.  Thank you Dylan for representing our school so well.

VOLLEYBALL
7th GRADE RED
The 7th grade Red team continues  their winning season by defeating Saline yesterday. McKenna D led the team in serving, Regan  H and Ella H did an excellent job passing while Ava Gray led the team in assists! Keep up the good work girls! 

7TH GRADE WHITE
The 7th Grade White Volleyball Team added another win to their record last night against Pinckney with scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-15. Hannah F led the team in serves with 8 aces. Alaina A did an outstanding job setting. Payten S and Emma G both did a great job passing for the broncos. The white team will travel to Dexter on Monday!

8TH GRADE RED
The 8th grade red volleyball team defeated Saline Golc 27-25, 17-25, 25-19.
Leaders for the team were Grace R in serving, Katelyn A in setting, Julia M  in passing and Grace R and Sophia G in hitting.

CROSS COUNTRY
The junior high boys cross country team won the 3rd and final SEC league meet last night crushing the other league schools.  Second place Saline was 40 points behind.  They finished the league season with a perfect league record.  They were led by Micah S who ran the 2 mile race in a lifetime best time of 11:17 to finish as league champion.  Nice job Micah, way to be fast.  He was followed closely by country superstar Colin B who finished second in a best time of 11:25.  Hussein J and Alex B went 1 - 2 in the reserve race with best times and won awesome water bottles.  Damien R, Anthony K and Grant S all ran solid races as well.  The boys have won 8 meets in a row and have 2 big races left this weekend and next.  Good luck guys.

BIBLE STUDY CLUB
Attention all students and staff.  You are cordially invited to attend our Bible Study Club.  Bible Study Club meets every Thursday after school, from 2:30-3:30, in room 23.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Please see Mrs. Brown in room 23 if you have any questions.

T-SHIRTS FOR FRIDAY'S HOMECOMING GAME
Today and tomorrow Superhero themed T-Shirts for our Homecoming Game on Friday will be on sale for $5.

FUNDRAISER ITEMS
Items from our Fundraiser will be ready for pick up on Thursday October 12, 2017 from 3-7 PM in the cafeteria.  

All money from the Fundraiser will be Due the following week by Thursday, October 19, 2017.

BJHS PRIDE CLUB
Are you looking for a fun and accepting new group to be a part of?  Are you looking for a safe place where you can be yourself?  Then join us in Mr. Zill's Room 25 on Thursday, October 12, 2017 after school till 3:30 for the first-ever meeting of the BJHS Pride Club.  This week we'll be hanging out, getting to know each other and playing board games.  All are welcome, and we hope to see you there! Be sure to have a ride home.

JUGGLING CLUB
Juggling club will beginning meeting this Friday, October 13, 2017 from 2:30-3:30 in the cafeteria. Beginners to advanced jugglers are welcome.  If interested, see Mr. Allison in room 124 or check out his website for details. Or, just show up this Friday.  Be sure to have a ride home.

PICTURE RETAKES
Picture retakes are scheduled for October 26, 2017 during homeroom.  Forms can be picked up at the door monitors desk.

VOLLEY FOR THE CURE 
Bedford Varsity Volleyball is sponsoring a VOLLEY FOR THE CURE night on Thursday, October 12th in the Bedford High School gym to benefit cancer research and help those living with cancer.

"Volley for the Cure" T-shirts will be sold this week during lunches. T-shirts will cost $10. Then wear your T-shirt to the games on October 12, 2017 and you will get in FREE.

DRESS CODE
Students, while the temps stay warm, be sure to dress for the weather and for our dress code here at the school. While we certainly need to stay cool, we also need to keep our shorts and shirts within the ranges set forth in the dress code. 

BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker. 

EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.  

8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone should be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches. 

HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.
