STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Kay chose Aiden S as our student of the week. Aiden is eager to participate in class discussion and has a fun sense of humor. He is helpful, kind, honest, and hard working. Congratulations on being Student of the Week Aiden! You are going to have a great year!

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
The junior high boys cross country team won their 6th meet in a row on Saturday to continue their undefeated season.  The boys team has now defeated over 100 schools so far this year.  They demolished the 18 team field at the Marauder Invitational by placing their top 5 runners 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th.  Collin B won his second meet in a row, running away from the other 225 runners in a time of 11:30 for the 2 mile race.  Micah S finished close behind with a time of 11:35, and Ethan L, Preston M and Leo W all ran great races as well to finish under 12 minutes and place in the top 7.  Isaiah M, Alex B, Damien R, Kyle R, Coltin C, Justin H, and Anthony K all ran personal best times.  Daniel S, Grant Y and Ryan P also ran close to their personal bests to help the team.  Great job guys.

7TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL
Congratulations to both the Red and White 7th grade volleyball teams for going undefeated throughout the SEC tournament this Saturday. Bedford 7th grade volleyball was the champion of the tournament. Great job, girls! Keep up the good work! 

NJHS
There will be an NJHS membership meeting on Thursday October 5, 2017 during 4th hour in the media center.  Please bring your lunches with you if your lunch is either 4A or 4B.  You will also need your Chromebooks.

KNIT AND CROCHET CLUB
Learn to knit and crochet after school on Tuesdays with Mrs Adkins.  The club will begin meeting tomorrow in Room 29 from 2:30-3:30. Make sure you have a ride home.

ALL MULES MATTER
For those students that received an email about joining All Mules Mater, please come to the Media Center today Monday, October 2nd during your homeroom.

PICTURE RETAKES
Picture retakes are scheduled for October 26, 2017 during homeroom.  Forms can be picked up at the door monitors desk.

BULLETIN BOARD CLUB
​Do you think you have a creative side? Do you like to create things? Join Mrs. Carnicom Oct 5th for the Bulletin board club.  We will be creating beautiful masterpieces throughout the school year to keep our halls looking fresh. ​We will meet in room 230 and getting started right away. The club will go until 3:30 so make sure you have a ride home.  There will be a sign up sheet in her room so please make sure to sign up.  

DRESS CODE
Students, while the temps stay warm, be sure to dress for the weather and for our dress code here at the school. While we certainly need to stay cool, we also need to keep our shorts and shirts within the ranges set forth in the dress code. 

VOLLEY FOR THE CURE 
Bedford Varsity Volleyball is sponsoring a VOLLEY FOR THE CURE night on Thursday, October 12th in the Bedford High School gym to benefit cancer research and help those living with cancer.

"Volley for the Cure" T-shirts will be sold next week during lunches. T-shirts will cost $10. Then wear your T-shirt to the games on October 12, 2017 and you will get in FREE. 

Cardiovascular Testing Offered
This will be held at the High School on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM.  Any student from 12 - 25 years old are eligible for the test.  If you are interested, schedule your appointment and complete the paperwork.  Go on line at  www.wimbledonhealthpartners.com/bedfordor call 1-855-200-8262.

DO NOT CARRY YOUR BACKPACKS TO CLASS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker. 

EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.  

8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone should be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches. 

HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.
