Mrs. Sullivan chose Gabby P as our Student of the Week. Gabby is in my Social Studies class and is always prepared for class, participates in discussion and has a great attitude every day. She always greets me with a hello and smile every time I see her. Gabby is willing to help teachers and students. Gabby helps makes BJHS a great school!BEDFORD FIRE EXPLORERS RECRUITING NIGHT
Bedford Fire Department will be recruiting students between the ages of 14-17 to join the Fire Explorers. The recruiting night will take place October 29, 2017 at 6 PM at the Bedford Fire Department (1106 W. Temperance Road). Anyone interested should plan to attend. BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
The boys cross country team beat all the other schools at their final meet of the season. Almost everyone on the team ran the race of their lives to help the team accomplish this. Micah S and Colin B led the way for the Broncos, followed closely by Daniel S and Leo W. All 4 of these guys ran their hearts out to carry the team to victory. Isiah M, Kyle R ran out of their minds to pr by over 30 seconds. Others runner who ran great were Anthony K, Jackson W, Ryan P, Brandon H, Justin H, Gabe T, and Gabe B. Amazing season boys.
RED RIBBON WEEK
This week is Red Ribbon Week and the theme for this year is “Your Future Is Key, So Stay Drug Free”. Celebrate being drug free with a new theme each day!

PICTURE RETAKE DAY - THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26
Picture retakes are scheduled for October 26, 2017 during homeroom. Forms can be picked up at the door monitor's desk. If you are not happy with the photo taken on picture day, bring your entire package back to school on retake day, October 26, and turn it in to the photographer when you get your picture retaken. You will receive the same package with your new picture.

Attention basketball players! The second annual Anthony Miracola 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be played November 4, 2017. The Basketball Wizard is holding the tournament for boys and girls in grades 3-10. The cost is just $20 a player. Teams may consist of 3-5 players. Games begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, at Mircola Gym. Come ready to compete! See Coach Green in room # 201 for entry forms and details. Good luck hoopers!

All mules matter meets every Monday during your homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.
DRESS CODE
Students, while the temps stay warm, be sure to dress for the weather and for our dress code here at the school. While we certainly need to stay cool, we also need to keep our shorts and shirts within the ranges set forth in the dress code.
BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker.
EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7. 8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center. It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center Forms can be picked up in the office.
NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone should be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches.
HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.
