The event of the season is coming up in a few weeks, and this is your chance to be a part of it! Show off your talent, any kind of talent, at the BJHS Talent Show. Tryouts will take place today right after school in room # 130 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
ATTENTION ALL MATH STUDENTS! MICHIGAN LEAGUE COMPETITIVE MATH TEST
If you signed up to take the Michigan League Competitive Math Test, don't forget to pick up a practice test so you can be better prepared to take the test. Your math teacher was given a copy of last year's test. Use last Year's tests as a practice test. The test is Tuesday, February 18. There is not too much time left to study. Make sure you are as prepared as you can be!

Great news! The Valentine's Day Party is Friday, February 14, from 7-9 p.m. this is a semi-formal dance. Tickets are only $5. We will have a photo booth, games, and a cool DJ. See you at the party!

Yearbooks are on sale now. The cost is $45. Yearbooks are sold during all lunch hours. Make checks payable to BJHS. Flyers were given to each student, and additional flyers are also available in the office.

SOIREE JUNIOR SINGERS
This is your chance to share the spotlight! Become a junior soiree member! The program will include training in voice projection, dance, poise, and what it takes to be a Soiree Singer! All students are invited, even if you never danced or performed in a choir. Registration forms and more information are available in the office.
GIRLS' BASKETBALL
The Bedford 7th grade red team lost to Saline Gold 18-14. Mikayla Motylynski and Selena Sandoval led the scoring and Madeline Matthews led the rebounding.
Good luck wrestlers at your away match in Chelsea. A reminder to teachers and athletes; there is an early 2:00 p.m. release today to allow for travel time.
The Bedford 8th grade red team improved to 4-0 by defeating Saline Gold 20-8. Ali Cousino hit a big 3 pointer to blow the game wide open. Kate Chuhy, Koryn King, Joella Griner and Kaitlin Kochendoerfer led an excellent defensive team effort.
The Bedford 7th grade white team defeated Ypsilanti Lincoln 9-8. Taylor Weirich led in scoring with 6 points. Becca Crawford and Sarah Koviak led defensively.
The Bedford 8th grade white team handily beat Ypsilanti Lincoln 29-2. Caitlin Stieber and Lynsey Spotts led the scoring. Rylee Grindle, Marianne Scout, Jenna Strable and Kaitlyn Scurlock also played well.

3B BASEBALL SIGN-UPS - THIS WEEK - WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY

ANNUAL DADDY/DAUGHTER VALENTINE DANCE - THIS SATURDAY
Girls; make a date with your dad to attend the daddy/daughter dance on Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Informational flyers are available in the junior high office or at the Community Education Office. The cost is $12 per person.
AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Students should ride the bus home after school. If they wish to attend or watch an after school event, parents should bring them back to school. Students are NOT allowed to wander the hallways during events. If you do come back to school, or stay after school to participate in a club, please be sure to stay in the area you belong in.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in. (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.) Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back. To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.
BE PROMPT! DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt! The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.

When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot. We want to make sure everyone is safe. With the dark mornings, it is unsafe to walk through the depot.
