8TH GRADE REGISTRATION
Attention 7th graders!  If you have not turned in your 8th grade registration forms, please bring them to the office today.

CONGRATULATIONS -SCHOOL-WIDE SPELLING BEE CHAMPION - PATRICK DOTSON
Congratulations to 6th grader, Patrick Dotson.  He won the building-wide spelling bee today.  His winning word was electrocardiogram.  He will compete in the county bee in May.

MICHIGAN LEAGUE MATH TEST
Because of our snow day yesterday, the Michigan League Math Test has been postponed to next Tuesday, February 25.  Make sure you bring your calculator from home so you will have one for the test.  This is not a test you want to take without a calculator!  You may not use your phone as a calculator.

100 MILE CLUB - JOIN TODAY!
Attention all students.  BJHS 100 Mile Club started yesterday and goes to March 14, after school from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN!  Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions!  Makeup days will be offered at the end in case of weather cancellations.  It's a great way to prepare for the upcoming track season.  If you have any questions please e-mail Toby at tsass@ymcatoledo.org or call the Francis Family YMCA734-850-9622.

ART CLUB - GRADES 6, 7, 8 - MEETS TODAY
Calling all artists! Art Club will be held every Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in room 134.  Please make sure you have a ride home.


JUGGLING CLUB - GRADES 6, 7, 8 - MEETS TOMORROW
Don’t forget!  Juggling club meets on Fridays in the cafeteria from 2:30-3:30.  See Mr. Allison in room # 124 if you have any questions.  Be sure to have a ride home.

AFTER SCHOOL CODING --  GRADES 6, 7, 8
Do you want to have some fun after school?  On Tuesdays, attend the After School  Coding Club in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m..  Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.  

WRESTLING
The Bronco Wrestlers traveled to Lincoln where they won in dominating fashion.  The Broncos scored 76 points to Lincoln's 23, winning 16 of 23 matches, 15 by pin.  Great job!  This sets up a showdown for the SEC Championship next Wednesday when we wrestle both Monroe and Tecumseh. Wrestling begins at 4:15 p.m. in the junior high gym.   Come support the wrestlers, and cheer them on to third straight SEC Crown! 

BASKETBALL
Last night, the Bedford 7th grade white team defeated Adrian 15-9.  Taylor Wierich led in scoring with 10 points.

The Bedford 8th grade white team took down Adrian 38-3 last night.  Megan Tillman, Caitlin Stieber, and Claire Asmus led in scoring.  Olivia Cook, Caelan Warnecke, Rylee Grindle and Jenna Strable also played well. 

Good luck to the girls' 7th and 8th grade white basketball teams.  They host Dexter Maroon today beginning at 4:15 p.m.  Come back to school and support your Lady Broncos!

Good luck to the red basketball teams. They travel to play Chelsea Gold.  A reminder to teachers and athletes; there is an early 2:00 p.m. release to allow for travel time.

OHIO SKATE - TONIGHT
Plan to join your friends for an evening of fun at Ohio Skate on Thursday, February 20, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Admission is $3.50 at the door   Skate rental is $1.00 if needed.  This is a Community Ed sponsored event.

SOIREE JUNIOR SINGERS
This is your chance to share the spotlight!  Become a junior soiree member!   The program will include training in voice projection, dance, poise, and what it takes to be a Soiree Singer!  All students are invited, even if you never danced or performed in a choir.  Registration forms and more information are available in the office.

SOFTBALL - OPEN GYM - EVERY SUNDAY
Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing softball this spring; come to open gym and get ready for tryouts and the season ahead.  Open gym time will be held on Sundays from noon until 2:00 p.m. starting January 26, and running through March 9.  This is a great  opportunity to start throwing, hitting, and   field before tryouts.  Check out www.bedfordsports.com for more details and contact information.


LACROSSE
Any student, boy or girl, in 7th or 8th grade interested in playing Lacrosse this season should come with their parents to the informational meeting on Tuesday, February 18, at 7:00 p.m.  Also, conditioning has started and you’re not too late to join us.  Please talk to any player for details.

AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Students should ride the bus home after school.  If they wish to attend or watch an after school event, parents should bring them back to school.  Students are NOT allowed to wander the hallways during events.  If you do come back to school, or stay after school to participate in a club, please be sure to stay in the area you belong in.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

BE PROMPT!  DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt!  The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.  

SAVE YOUR POP TABS!
Here is your chance to take part in a community service project!  Bring in your pop tabs, and they will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. They will be recycled for cash to help the children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a Children's Hospital that helps children in need of medical care and allows the family to stay close to the hospital.  Bring in your pop tabs now to the office or to Mrs. Currie's room

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
NJHS students should remember to check their email for upcoming events.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings, it is unsafe to walk through the depot.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS.
