8TH GRADE PANORAMIC PICTURES - TODAY
Attention all 8th graders!  The 8th grade Panoramic picture will be taken today  at the beginning of 5th hour.
Bring your completed order envelope, with payment enclosed, back to school tomorrow for your panoramic picture if you forgot it today.  

VALENTINE DANCE/PARTY
Great news!  The Valentine's Day Party is Friday, February 14, from 7-9 p.m.  this is a semi-formal dance. Tickets are only $5.  We will have a photo booth, games, and a cool DJ.  See you at the party!

VALENTINE FLOWER SALE
Flowers for Valentine's Day go on sale tomorrow for only $1.  Buy a friend, teacher, or your mom, a beautiful flower! 

MICHIGAN LEAGUE COMPETITIVE MATH CONTEST
Attention all math students.  Next Tuesday, February 18, is the Michigan League Competitive Math Contest. Don't forget to pick up a practice test from your math teacher.  If you have any questions, you may see Mrs. Brown in room # 230 between classes. 

YEARBOOKS SALES  END FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14
Yearbooks are on sale now.  The cost is $45.  Yearbooks are sold during all lunch hours. Make checks payable to BJHS. Flyers were given to each student, and additional flyers are also available in the office.

9TH GRADE COURSE PLANS DUE TODAY
All 8th grade students should remember to turn in their 9th grade course plans to their English teachers today! 

STUDENTS INTERACT
Students who were invited to attend this week's session of Students Interact should remember to turn in their signed permission slip by the end of the day tomorrow.  Students Interact will be  held on Thursday this week due to school cancellations last week. Students should gather assignments for Thursday so they don't get behind in their class work.

100 MILE CLUB
Attention all students.  BJHS 100 Mile Club starts on February 11 and goes to March 14 after school from 2:45 to 4:30.  Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions!  Makeup days will be offered at the end in case of weather cancellations. ART CLUB 
Calling all artists! Art Club will be held every Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in room 134.  Please make sure you have a ride home.


JUGGLING CLUB 
Don’t forget!  Juggling club meets on Fridays in the cafeteria from 2:30-3:30.  See Mr. Allison in room # 124 if you have any questions.  Be sure to have a ride home.

AFTER SCHOOL CODING --  GRADES 6, 7, 8 - CANCELLED TODAY
Do you want to have some fun after school?  On Tuesdays, attend the After School  Coding Club in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m..  Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.  

SOIREE JUNIOR SINGERS
This is your chance to share the spotlight!  Become a junior soiree member!   The program will include training in voice projection, dance, poise, and what it takes to be a Soiree Singer!  All students are invited, even if you never danced or performed in a choir.  Registration forms and more information are available in the office.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL
Bedford 7th grade red staged an epic come back and mauled the grizzlies of Ypsilanti 15-12.  Madeline Matthews clawed her way to 13 points and Emily Babb slashed the grizzlies defensively.

Bedford 8th grade red improved to 5-0 by defeating Ypsilanti 26-8.  Koryn King scored 14 points followed by Joella Griner with 10.  

Bedford 7th grade white defeated Monroe Red 17-9.  Becca Crawford led in scoring and Lilly Varney played well off the bench.  

Bedford 8th grade white had a great team effort victory over Monroe Red 18-9.  Caitlin Stieber and Megan Tillman led a balanced scoring attack.  Caelan Warnecke, Olivia Cook and Kaitlyn Scurlock also played well.  

WRESTLING
Our wrestling team travels to play Saline today.

SOFTBALL - OPEN GYM
Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing softball this spring; come to open gym and get ready for tryouts and the season ahead.  Open gym time will be held on Sundays from noon until 2:00 p.m. starting January 26, and running through March 9.  This is a great  opportunity to start throwing, hitting, and   field before tryouts.  Check out www.bedfordsports.com for more details and contact information.


LACROSSE
Any student, boy or girl, in 7th or 8th grade interested in playing Lacrosse this season should come with their parents to the informational meeting on Feb 18th at 7:00 PM.  Also, conditioning has started and you’re not too late to join us.  Please talk to any player for details.

AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Students should ride the bus home after school.  If they wish to attend or watch an after school event, parents should bring them back to school.  Students are NOT allowed to wander the hallways during events.  If you do come back to school, or stay after school to participate in a club, please be sure to stay in the area you belong in.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

BE PROMPT!  DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt!  The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.  

SAVE YOUR POP TABS!
Here is your chance to take part in a community service project!  Bring in your pop tabs, and they will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. They will be recycled for cash to help the children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a Children's Hospital that helps children in need of medical care and allows the family to stay close to the hospital.  Bring in your pop tabs now to the office or to Mrs. Currie's room
# 203.

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
NJHS students should remember to check their email for upcoming events.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings, it is unsafe to walk through the depot.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS.
