TALENT SHOW
Thank you Dr. Robinson, Mr. Lopinski, and the students who preformed last night at the BJHS Talent Show.  It was a wonderful, entertaining evening last night.  The Talent show was a great success!

8TH GRADE REGISTRATION
Attention 7th graders!  If you have not turned in your 8th grade registration forms, please bring them to the office today.

PENNIES FOR PATIENTS
Students please help us raise money for the Pennies for Patients Campaign.There will be a bake sale all next week during lunch,.   All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Michigan.

MICHIGAN LEAGUE MATH TEST
The Michigan League Math Test has been postponed to next Tuesday, February 25.  Make sure you bring your calculator from home so you will have one for the test.  This is not a test you want to take without a calculator!  You may not use your phone as a calculator.

100 MILE CLUB - JOIN TODAY!
Attention all students. It is not too late to join the 100 Mile Club.  It began this week and will end on March 14.  Meet in the cafeteria after school from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Makeup days will be offered at the end in case of weather cancellations.  It's a great way to prepare for the upcoming track season.  If you have any questions please e-mail Toby at tsass@ymcatoledo.org or call the Francis Family YMCA734-850-9622.

ART CLUB - GRADES 6, 7, 8 
Calling all artists! Art Club will be held every Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in room 134.  Please make sure you have a ride home.


JUGGLING CLUB - GRADES 6, 7, 8 - MEETS TODAY
Don’t forget!  Juggling Club meets on Fridays in the cafeteria from 2:30-3:30.  See Mr. Allison in room # 124 if you have any questions.  Be sure to have a ride home.

AFTER SCHOOL CODING --  GRADES 6, 7, 8
Do you want to have some fun after school?  On Tuesdays, attend the After School  Coding Club in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m..  Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.  

BASKETBALL
The Bedford 7th grade red team  lost to Chelsea Gold.

The Bedford 8th grade red team improved to 7-0 by defeating Chelsea Gold 23-12.  Kate Chuhy led the scoring with 14 points.  Courtney Jagielski had a good defensive game with 3 steals.  

The 7th grade white team defeated Dexter Maroon 20-3.  Becca Crawford led in scoring with 10 points.  Sarah Koviack contributed 8 points.  
The Bedford 8th grade white team lost to Dexter Maroon 25-6.  Only having 7 players, the girls all played hard and did not quit.  Great job girls!

SOIREE JUNIOR SINGERS
This is your chance to share the spotlight!  Become a junior soiree member!   The program will include training in voice projection, dance, poise, and what it takes to be a Soiree Singer!  All students are invited, even if you never danced or performed in a choir.  Registration forms and more information are available in the office.

SOFTBALL - OPEN GYM - EVERY SUNDAY
Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing softball this spring; come to open gym and get ready for tryouts and the season ahead.  Open gym time will be held on Sundays from noon until 2:00 p.m. starting January 26, and running through March 9.  This is a great  opportunity to start throwing, hitting, and   field before tryouts.  Check out www.bedfordsports.com for more details and contact information.


LACROSSE
Any student, boy or girl, in 7th or 8th grade interested in playing Lacrosse this season should come with their parents to the informational meeting on Tuesday, February 18, at 7:00 p.m.  Also, conditioning has started and you’re not too late to join us.  Please talk to any player for details.

AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Students should ride the bus home after school.  If they wish to attend or watch an after school event, parents should bring them back to school.  Students are NOT allowed to wander the hallways during events.  If you do come back to school, or stay after school to participate in a club, please be sure to stay in the area you belong in.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

BE PROMPT!  DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt!  The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.  

SAVE YOUR POP TABS!
Here is your chance to take part in a community service project!  Bring in your pop tabs, and they will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. They will be recycled for cash to help the children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a Children's Hospital that helps children in need of medical care and allows the family to stay close to the hospital.  Bring in your pop tabs now to the office or to Mrs. Currie's room

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
NJHS students should remember to check their email for upcoming events.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings, it is unsafe to walk through the depot.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS.
