OCTOBER 15, 2015

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
The girls cross country team won their final SEC Jamboree last night.  Isabella Johnson, Belle Easton, Olivia Kruk, Madison Norton, and Laney Cubberly scored for the team.  Isabelle Johnson is ranked 21st in the state of Michigan and Belle Easton is ranked 31st according to Athletic.net, which lists over 5,700 runners.  As a team, we had 21 personal records, including significant improvements by Savannah Trombley, Kaitlyn Key, and Macy Misicowski.  Congratulations to all of our runners!

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
The junior high boys cross country team won the third and final SEC league meet on Wednesday to finish with an undefeated league season.  The team was 21-0 against our league this year.  Amazing job guys.  The boys were once again led by 8th graders Austin Depue, Noah Bock and Seth Oxer, who all finished before the first runner from the second place team.  7th grader Ty Smith ran the race of his life to help solidify the perfect season.  Caden Bodine, Thomas Zoldowski, Jack Miller and Jack Harrison all ran great races as well to help the team to victory.  The boys team would like to congratulate the girls cross country team for also winning.  This was the first time both the boys and girls team have won the league at the same time.  Go Broncos!

6TH GRADE BOYS AND GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
The 6th grade girls and boys cross country teams ran at the SEC Jamboree #3 last night in Monroe. Both teams had great races!

The girls were led by Kelly Fielder, who finished 2nd, Joelle Dey, who took 3rd and Madeline Heinrichs, who finished 6th. Other top finishers were Hannah Riester, Anna Sutterfield, Addison Nowak, Abby Klawonn, Audrey Howard and Tina Freel.

Micah Scheffer led the boys with a 1st place finish. He was followed by Collin Balla, who took 3rd, Daniel Stieber, who placed 8th and Parker Marsh, who finished 10th. Other top finishers for the boys included Tyler Kirk, Alex Birmingham, and Damien Robinson. 

Great job to both teams! Their next race is on Saturday in Monroe.

8TH GRADE WHITE VOLLEYBALL
The 8th grade White volleyball team lost a tough battle against saline tonight. The scores were 25-23, 15-25, 19-25. Britney Diely led the team on defense with 16 digs. Jessica Steinman had 18 sets and Jayda Copciac did a great job in the front row! The lady Broncos next game is on Monday at Lincoln.

8TH GRADE RED VOLLEYBALL
The 8th grade red volleyball team defeated Adrian Blue  25-16, 13-25, 25-18.  Leaders for the team were Alyssa Griner in serving, Sydney Fuleky in setting, Emma Wagenhauser in passing and Carly Emerson in hitting.  

BRONCO CHARITY CLUB
Bronco Charity Club's 1st meeting will be October 19, 2015 in room 220.

SPIRIT WEAR
PTSA will be ditributing spirit wear the middle of next week!  Sorry for the delay - production began after the store closed September 17th. 

BEDFORD ZOMBIE RUN

GIRLS BASKETBALL 
Any girls not participating in a fall sport and are interested in getting a jum start on basketball can come to the high school Open Gyms on Tuesdays right after school until 4:00PM and Thursday nights from 6:30-8:00PM starting tonight.  Come alone or bring a friend and play against good high school competition.  If you have questions, see Mr. Burgermeister in Room #27.

BOX TOPS
Reminder to all staff and students!  Collecting Box Tops is a great way to earn money for school!  The 4th hour that brings in the most box tops in September and October will receive a donut party during 4th hour!  Collect your box tops, write your 4th hour teacher's name on the collection sheet or baggie and place in the collection box in the front lobby.  It's that easy!

CHROMEBOOK REMINDER
Attention 7th Grade Students:
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. The bottom of the blue case has support to one book only. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break. Broken chromebooks will have to pay a $25 deductible to get it fixed.

6th and 8th Grade Students:
Students should always carry chromebook cases by the handle.

Students, please remember you need to report to your next class before coming to the Health Room. Do not stop in between classes unless it is an emergency.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
No leggings, yogas pants or joggers unless the top is fingertip length or longer. Also shorts and skirts are to be fingertip length or longer.

BUS NOTE REMINDER
Bus notes MUST be stamped before the 2:25 pm bell.
