OCTOBER 1, 2015

7TH GRADE RED VOLLEYBALL
The 7th grade Red volleyball team handily defeated Ypsilanti yesterday with the scores of 25-8, 25-13 and 25-6.  Sarah Przyojski led the team with 17 service points and Kaitlyn Ridner had 9 service points. Grace Sitter and Caris Cross did an excellent job setting and Emily Schultz was a stand out on defense. Come and cheer the girls on when they face rival, Saline Oon Monday at 4:15.


7TH GRADE WHITE VOLLEYBALL
Tonight the 7th grade white volleyball team defeated Tecumseh tonight with scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-22. Sydney sowash & Kenzie Palmer led the team with 6 aces each. Katie hicks had 12 digs. Kara Swartz had 4 aces for the Broncos. The girls play again on Monday October 5th at Saline.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
The girls cross country team placed third at last night's SEC Jamboree.  Belle Easton, Isabella Johnson, Olivia Kruk, Laney Cubberly, and Madison Norton finished in the top 25 out of 143 runners.  Gillian Hertzsch, Lizzy Lietaert, and Morgan Decker had significant PRs.  In total, there were 25 personal records for the team.  Congratulations to all of our runners.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
The junior high boys cross country team won the 2nd SEC league meet on Wednesday defeating Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Lincoln, Monroe, Tecumseh and Adrian.  Austin Depue ran an amazing race to finish as league champion in a time of 11:23 for the 2 mile course.  That time puts Austin as the 6th fastest runner in the state so far this season.  Noah Bock ran a great race to finish 4th overall.  Almost everyone on the team ran a personal best time.  Ivan Stretten, Ryan Gore, Noah Hall, Kevin Payne, Jack Harrison, and Jaden Turner all ran amazing races to help the team win.  The boys will run against to top teams in Ohio on Saturday at the Clay Invitational.  Wish them luck as they try to keep up their winning streak.

JUGGLING CLUB
Come one, come all! Children of all ages! Join the greatest club on Earth! The juggling club will meet beginning this Friday from 2:30-3:30. Beginners to advanced jugglers are welcome. You can learn to juggle a basic 3 ball pattern or learn more advanced tricks. You can also learn to juggle rings, clubs, Chinese yo-yo, cup speed stacking, and angel sticks. Or, you can learn to pass with a friend. Maybe just have fun trying. If interested, see Mr. Allison in room 124 or check out his website for details. Or, just show up this Friday. Be sure to arrange a ride home for 3:30.

NJHS
Next week on Wednesday October 7th we will have out first NJHS meeting during 4a and 4b in the choir room. If this is your lunch time please bring your lunch with you and clean up after yourself when finished. If this takes place during one of your classes please check with your teacher to see if there is work you can do to make up the time you will be gone. We will be discussing officer positions, red ribbon week, and service hours.

Order your yearbook during lunch. They will be on sale for a limited time for $42.00.

CHROMEBOOK REMINDER
Attention 7th Grade Students:
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. The bottom of the blue case has support to one book only. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break. Broken chromebooks will have to pay a $25 deductible to get it fixed.

6th and 8th Grade Students:
Students should always carry chromebook cases by the handle.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
No leggings, yogas pants or joggers unless the top is fingertip length or longer. Also shorts and skirts are to be fingertip length or longer.
