8th Grade Red Basketball Team

Bedford red 8th grade ran its record to 5-0 on the season with a hard fought victory over Ypsilanti Lincoln Blue 42-37.  The entire team is to be congratulated with a great team effort win.  Tyler Welch, Spencer Straka and Bobby Slusher led the way in scoring.  

8th Grade White Basketball Team

The 8th grade white team extended their winning streak to 2 games last night as they defeated Monroe 30 to 10.  Tyler German, Alec Miller and Nic Walters all played well last night.  Joey Bachli had 6 points, 4 steals and 2 blocks.  Leading the Broncos in scoring was Brad South with 7 and  Jackie Harris with 22.

8th grade white reminder:   No practice tomorrow.   Meet next Monday at 3.30 in the lunch room for walk throughs.

7th Grade Red Basketball Team

Bedford red 7th grade won a thriller against Ypsilanti Lincoln Blue 44-40 by shooting 16-20 from the free throw line in the second half.  Ryan Sullivan led the way with 21 points followed by Derek Price with 19.

7th Grade White Basketball Team

The boys 7th grade white team rolled to an easy win at Monroe yesterday 22 - 8.  The entire team played great defense holding the Trojans to only 2 baskets in the 2nd half while everyone on the team recorded at least one rebound.  Luke Tanner led the team in scoring with 9; Matt Kohler added 8 points and Gabe Kujda scored 6. Josh Hollinger, Wes Matthews, and Alex Newcombe all scored 4 points; Matt Kochendoerfer added 2 points to the total.

The white teams will next play Adrian on Monday at home with the 7th grade game starting at 4:15

Perfect Christmas Gift

It’s the perfect Christmas gift!  Buy a penny hockey board starting December 1st. They are only $2.00 at the concession stand during all lunch hours. These games were made by the 8^th grade technology education classes. They are loads of fun, and you don’t even have to go to the store.  Buy them while supplies last. 

Wrestling

Any boys interested in wrestling, practice will begin Monday December 8th.  In the meantime you may attend Open Mat which is held Mondays and Wednesdays 6-8 pm in the Junior High Wrestling room.

Holiday Food Drive

Our annual Student Council Holiday Food Drive starts 

November 24 - December 12

The Camp Out for Hunger and the Homeless last night was a success!  Thank you to Mr Lopinski, Dr Robinson and all the kids that participated. Way To Go Broncos!

Reflections Arts Contest Call for Entries

The theme this year is: "The World Would Be a Better Place If..."

Students can offer their creative interpretations of this theme in any of the following categories:

Visual Arts

Photography

Literature

Film/Video Production

Dance Choreography 

or Music Composition

Students can submit multiple entries in multiple categories. Each complete entry gets their name in a drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate.

Deadline is December 5th by noon. Turn entries in at the Media Center.

Yearbook

Year books are on sale now for $45.00.
The online price is $45.00 plus $2.00 service fee. 

The BJHS School Publication department is offering an "early bird" special for $43.00 only at the junior high school through Winter Break. In order to receive the special price, the books must be ordered in the cafeteria during lunches.  All sales after that will be $45.00 and sale of the yearbook ends on Valentines.

Bronco Charity Club

The Bronco Charity Club has placed a Christmas tree in the cafeteria. They are collecting warm things like hats, gloves, socks, etc..  These will be donated to families who can not buy their own. Also under the tree, there is a box where you can place a toy, which the charity club is giving to children with cancer at the University of Michigan Hospital.

They are also collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald Houses. SO PLEASE DONATE YOUR POP TABS!

Chromebooks

6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
My Chromebook will never be left unattended
I will store my Chromebook in my secured locker at BJHS while at sports practices or after school activities
