8th Grade Red Basketball Team

Bedford red 8th grade ran its record to 4-0 by soundly defeating Saline Blue 32-20.  Kyle Hennessey, Tyler Welch, Bobby Slusher and Spencer Straka led the balanced scoring attack.  Austin Malabanan led the team in rebounding.  Jacob Gladiuex and Garrett Sexton also played well. 

8th Grade White Basketball Team
The 8th grade White Team ran their record to 2 - 3 last night as they defeated a scrappy Tecumseh team 27 - 19.  Joey Bachli came off the bench to spark the Broncos scoring 4 of his 6 points in the final period.  Also playing well was Brad South and Alex Jones scoring 7 and 8 points respectively.  Jackie Harris led the scoring with 19 points.  

7th Grade Red Basketball Team

Bedford red 7th grade lost a heartbreaker to Saline Blue 20-19 on a 3 point play with nine seconds left.  Derek Price led the Broncos with 12 points and Mitchell Dunson had 8 steals.  

7th Grade White Basketball Team

The boys 7th grade white team dropped a close one to the Indians of Tecumseh yesterday 27 - 25.  The boys battled back from a 10 point deficit in the 4th period only to see their last second shot rim out at the buzzer.  Matt Kohler led the scoring with 12 points, Josh Hollinger added 9 points, Matt Kochendoerfer scored 5, Wes Matthews had 4 points; Drew Ditto and Landon Links added 3 points; and Luke Warnke, Zack Warnke, and Luke Tanner had 2 points to complete the scoring.

The white teams will next take on Monroe today with the 7th grade game starting at 4:15.

Perfect Christmas Gift

It’s the perfect Christmas gift!  Buy a penny hockey board.  They are only $2.00 at the concession stand during all lunch hours.  These games were made by the 8^th grade technology education classes.   They are loads of fun, and you don’t even have to go to the store.  Buy them while supplies last. 

Wrestling

Any boys interested in wrestling, practice will begin Monday December 8th.  In the meantime you may attend Open Mat which is held Mondays and Wednesdays 6-8 pm in the Junior High Wrestling room.

NJHS COAT DRIVE

Tomorrow is the last day!

NJHS members will be collecting coats of all sizes to be donated to people that need them to stay warm this winter.  If you have a coat to donate NJHS members will be at the entrances starting at 7:00 AM to collect them. Coats will be collected through Wednesday November 26th.

Holiday Food Drive

Our annual Student Council Holiday Food Drive starts 

November 24 - December 12

Canned tuna, chicken, salmon, chili, stew, soups, fruit or vegetables

Boxed macaroni & cheese, rice or pasta

Reflections Arts Contest Call for Entries

The theme this year is: "The World Would Be a Better Place If..."

Students can offer their creative interpretations of this theme in any of the following categories:

Visual Arts

Photography

Literature

Film/Video Production

Dance Choreography 

or Music Composition

Students can submit multiple entries in multiple categories. Each complete entry gets their name in a drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate.

Deadline is December 5th by noon. Turn entries in at the Media Center.

Yearbook

Year books are on sale now for $45.00.
The online price is $45.00 plus $2.00 service fee. 

The BJHS School Publication department is offering an "early bird" special for $40.00 only at the junior high school until Thanksgiving. In order to receive the special price, the books must be ordered in the cafeteria during lunches.  

After that the price goes up to $43.00 through Winter break.  All sales after that will be $45.00 and sale of the yearbook ends on Valentines.

Bronco Charity Club

The Bronco Charity Club has placed a Christmas tree in the cafeteria. They are collecting warm things like hats, gloves, socks, etc..  These will be donated to families who can not buy their own. Also under the tree, there is a box where you can place a toy, which the charity club is giving to children with cancer at the University of Michigan Hospital.

They are also collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald Houses. SO PLEASE DONATE YOUR POP TABS!

Chromebooks

6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
My Chromebook will never be left unattended
I will store my Chromebook in my secured locker at BJHS while at sports practices or after school activities
