7th and 8th grade Red Basketball

Bedford red 7th grade lost a hard fought battle to Adrian 26-22.  Mitchell Dunson, Luke Stevens, Derek Price and Ryan Sullivan all played well.  

Bedford red 8th grade defeated Adrian 44-23.  Tyler Welch, Bobby Slusher and Garrett Sexton led a balanced scoring attack.  Reid Kohler, Cameron Hammer, Matt Brubaker and Carson Remley also played well. 

7th grade White Basketball
The boys 7th grade team lost at Ypsilanti yesterday 31 - 11.  Matt Kohler and Josh Hollinger led the Bronco attack with 7 points apiece.  Alex Newcombe added 4 points, Zack Warnke and Landon Links scored 3 points and Drew Ditto had 2 points.  The teaam will next play Tecumseh at home on Monday, November 24.

8th Grade White Boys Basketball
11/13    Ypsi Lincoln  

The 8th grade white team lost a tough battle last Thursday to Ypsilanti Lincoln.  Playing well for the Bronco's was Griffin Geiger and Nic Walters.  Jackie Harris led the Bronco's in scoring with 11.

11/18   Saline

The 8th grade white team lost another tough battle with Saline this past Tuesday night.  Playing well for the Bronco's on both ends of the floor was Austin Hammer, Nic Walters, Alec Miller and Dominic Pezzino.  Leading the Bronco's in scoring was Alex Jones with 4,  Brad South with 7 and Jackie Harris with 11.

11/ 20   Ypsilanti 

The 8th grade white team ran into unbelievably talented Ypsilanti team last night and lost their 3rd game of the season.  Tyler German, Nate Kujawa, and Coby McMannaman  all played well for the Bronco's.  Brad South led Bronco's in scoring with 5.  

Wrestling

Any boys interested in wrestling, practice will begin Monday December 8th.  In the meantime you may attend Open Mat which is held Mondays and Wednesdays 6-8 pm in the Junior High Wrestling room.

NJHS COAT DRIVE

 Monday started the NJHS sponsored coat drive.  NJHS members will be collecting coats of all sizes to be donated to people that need them to stay warm this winter.  If you have a coat to donate NJHS members will be at the entrances starting at 7:00 AM to collect them. Coats will be collected through Wednesday November 26th.

Holiday Food Drive

Our annual Student Council Holiday Food Drive starts 

November 24 - December 12

Canned tuna, chicken, salmon, chili, stew, soups, fruit or vegetables

Boxed macaroni & cheese, rice or pasta

Reflections Arts Contest Call for Entries

The theme this year is: "The World Would Be a Better Place If..."

Students can offer their creative interpretations of this theme in any of the following categories:

Visual Arts

Photography

Literature

Film/Video Production

Dance Choreography 

or Music Composition

Students can submit multiple entries in multiple categories. Each complete entry gets their name in a drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate.

Deadline is December 5th by Noon. Turn entries in at the Media Center.

Yearbook

Year books are on sale now for $45.00.
The online price is $45.00 plus $2.00 service fee. 

The BJHS School Publication department is offering an "early bird" special for $40.00 only at the junior high school until Thanksgiving. In order to receive the special price, the books must be ordered in the cafeteria during lunches.  

After that the price goes up to $43.00 through Winter break.  All sales after that will be $45.00 and sale of the yearbook ends on Valentines.

Bronco Charity Club

The Bronco Charity Club has placed a Christmas tree in the cafeteria. They are collecting warm things like hats, gloves, socks, etc..  These will be donated to families who can not buy their own. Also under the tree, there is a box where you can place a toy, which the charity club is giving to children with cancer at the University of Michigan Hospital.

They are also collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald Houses. SO PLEASE DONATE YOUR POP TABS!

Chromebooks

6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
My Chromebook will never be left unattended
I will store my Chromebook in my secured locker at BJHS while at sports practices or after school activities
