8th Grade Basketball Team
Bedford 8th grade red upped its record to 2-0 on the season with a hard fought victory over Monroe White 29-18.  Bobby Slusher, Spencer Straka and Tyler Welch led the scoring.  Garrett Sexton and Kyle Hennessey also played well.

7th Grade Basketball Team
Bedford 7th grade red improved to 2-0 by defeating Monroe White 29-9.  Defense was the key to this victory led by Cole Mason and Luke Stevens.  Ryan Sullivan led the scoring with 19 points followed by Derek Price with 10 points. 

NJHS COAT DRIVE
 Monday starts the NJHS sponsored coat drive.  NJHS members will be collecting coats of all sizes to be donated to people that need them to stay warm this winter.  If you have a coat to donate NJHS members will be at the entrances starting at 7 am to collect them. Coats will be collected through Wednesday November 26th.

Veteran's Day Writing
6th grader Gracie Tegtmeyer won the Veteran's Day writing contest for our local Bedford Post. Her entry will be submitted to the regional level. Congratulations Gracie and Good Luck!

Holiday Food Drive
Our annual Student Council Holiday Food Drive starts 
November 24 - December 12
Great Items to donate:
Canned tuna, chicken, salmon, chili, stew, soups, fruit or vegetables
Boxed macaroni & cheese, rice or pasta
Peanut butter & Jelly
Pasta sauce and paper products
Please donate to help those less fortunate! Thank you!

Reflections Arts Contest Call for Entries

The theme this year is: "The World Would Be a Better Place If..."

Students can offer their creative interpretations of this theme in any of the following categories:

Visual Arts
Photography
Literature
Film/Video Production
Dance Choreography 
or Music Composition

Students can submit multiple entries in multiple categories. Each complete entry gets their name in a drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate.

Deadline is December 5th by Noon. Turn entries in at the Media Center.

Yearbook
Year books are on sale now for $45.00.
The online price is $45.00 plus $2.00 service fee. 


The BJHS School Publication department is offering an "early bird" special for $40.00 only at the junior high school until Thanksgiving. In order to receive the special price, the books must be ordered in the cafeteria during lunches.  
After that the price goes up to $43.00 through Winter break.  All sales after that will be $45.00 and sale of the yearbook ends on Valentines.

Bronco Charity Club
The Bronco Charity Club meets after school on Monday for anyone that is interested.

They are also collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald Houses. SO PLEASE DONATE YOUR POP TABS!

Art Club
Will only meet November 20, 2014 this month. Regular schedule will resume in December.

Chromebooks
6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
My Chromebook will never be left unattended
I will store my Chromebook in my secured locker at BJHS while at sports practices or after school activities

Bus Notes
Reminder to all students - Bus notes to ride another bus home after school MUST be stamped in the office BEFORE the end of sixth hour.
