MEAP TESTING BEGINS TODAY- HAPPY MEAP TESTING!
Today is our first day of MEAP testing.  Good luck to all of our students  today as we begin our first day of testing!  Juice boxes will be given to students in their first hour before MEAP Testing begins.  It is important that our whole school tries their very best and make BJHS proud!

MORLEY FUNDRAISING 
Morley orders were due last Friday.   If you have any Morley orders, please bring them to the office. 

BOYS -  REMEMBER BATHROOM ETIQUETTE
Attention boys; remember bathroom etiquette; clean up, don't leave messes, and do not hang or pull on any soap dispensers or urinals.  

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings now, it is unsafe to walk on the through the depot.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or  salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. Eighth hour is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:35-3:25 p.m.  Mrs. Benisatto will meet students at the double doors in the front lobby. NJHS EXECUTIVE CABINET MEETING - TODAY
There will be a NJHS Executive Cabinet meeting for NJHS officers today, October 8. We will be meeting in portable 5 during 4th hour.  Please bring your lunch.  

VOLLEYBALL
The 8th grade red volleyballl team defeated Ypsilanti last night 25-7, 25-11, 19-25 to run their record to 8-2 on the season.  Haily Walling led the team in serving, while Joella Griner played well at the net.  The ladies are home on Wednesday to come out and support your Lady Broncos!

The 7th grade red volleyball team added another win to their record last night defeating Ypsilanti 25-5. 25-12, 25-10.   Bree Long had an outstanding 19 aces!  Kaitlin Hennessey also chipped in 10 aces!  Levi Lennard did a great job setting. Evita Oraha did an excellent job on the net leading the team with 5 blocks and 4 hits.  The Ladies have a home game Wednesday vs. Tecumseh.  Come on out and show the red teams your support!

The 7th grade girls white volleyball team defeated Monroe yesterday in all three games with the scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-14. Makayla Motylinski served the game winning point and Emily Babb did an awesome job on defense.  On Wednesday the girls will travel to Saline. 

The 8th grade white team defeated Monroe on Monday, 25-20, 25-14, 20-25.  Leaders for the night were Hannah Wilke in serving and assists, Ali Cousino in digs, and Sophie Dettling in kills.

FOOTBALL
Today the 8th grade white football team will host Chelsea Blue in the Bedford Community Stadium  beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Come back to school at 6:00 p.m. and support your Broncos!

The 7th grade white football team will travel to Dexter along with the 7th grade red football team.  Due to injuries, the red and white team will combine to play Dexter. There is an early 2:00 p.m. release..

Both the 7th and 8th grade red football teams will travel to take on Dexter today.  There is an early release at 2:00 p.m. to allow for travel time.

CHEERLEADERS
Due to injuries, the 7th grade white team will combine with the 7th grade red team and travel to play Dexter.. The cheerleaders will still be cheering for the 8th grade game.  Your subway dinner will still be provided during halftime.  Please meet at the field at 4:30 pm for warm up.  The game starts at 6:00 p.m.pm today.

Hurry! Watch the clock to see if you can make it to safety before your time runs out on Saturday, October 19, at Indian Creek Park.  Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. and the race starts at 5 p.m.
Top prizes will be awarded to the top 3 men and women and best Zombie costume. You must be registered to win.  The entry fee is $20
If you register by Friday, October 11, you will receive a Zombie Run t-shirt.
