YEARBOOKS ON SALE TODAY
Yearbooks are on sale now; and it is the cheapest time to purchase one.  Make sure you order your yearbook early; the price increases soon.  The cost is only $43.   Yearbooks are sold during all lunch hours. Make checks payable to BJHS. Flyers were given to each student, and additional flyers are also available in the office   

SWEETEST DAY FLOWER SALE - STARTS TOMORROW
This Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, flowes will be on sale to celebrate Sweetest Day during all lunch hours.  Don't forget to buy flowers for your mom, friend, and of course, your teacher or administrator.  There are many different colors to choose from, and they only cost $1..  All proceeds will benefit the World Wildlife Fund.  So, support endangered animals, and make someone smile at the same time!/


BRONCO CHARITY CLUB-FIRST MEETING TODAY
The Bronco Charity Club will have its first meeting of the year today, October 15, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The club is open to the Monroe County Humane Society, adopted a family at Christmas  made gifts for the local   senior.citizens home, and many other fun activities. Please see Mrs. Currie in room # 203 for more information. 

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings now, it is unsafe to walk on the through the depot.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. Eighth hour is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:35-3:25 p.m.  Mrs. Benisatto will meet students at the double doors in the front lobby. VOLLEYBALL
The 8th grade white volleyball teams defeated Lincoln yesterday 16-25, 25-21, 25-15/  Leaders for the night were Katrina Reynolds and Heidi Fausze in serving, Emily Waite and Olivia Scally in setting, and Heidi Fausze in hitting.


The 7th grade white volleyball team played a great game yesterday. They defeated the previously undefeated Lincoln all three games with the scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 26-24. Cierra Hammond led the team with her awesome serving and Taylor Hawkins did a super job setting and on defense. 

The 8th grade red volleyball team defeated Saline last night 26-24. 25-14, 25-18.  Megan Tillman, Angel Simon, and Morgan Gladieux led the team in serving.  Hailey  Sieg played nice defense and had some nice hits.  Their record is now 10-2.

After a tough loss last week to Tecumseh, the 7th grade red volleyball team came back with a big win last night against Saline with scores of 16-25, 25-14, 25-22.  It was a very tight third game, but the Lady Broncos fought hard for their win!  Levi Lennard led the team with her outstanding performance of keeping the team on task.  Bree Long had 8 serving aces and led the tam with her defense   Karsyn Wolf led the team with her setting.  The girls have their last home game this Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. against Dexter. Come on out and show them your support!!!

FOOTBALL
Good luck to our red football athletes today at their home games with Tecumseh in the Bedford Community Stadium.  Come back to school at 4:15 p.m. to support the Broncos.  

Our 8th grade white football team will travel to play Adrian today.  There is NOT an early release for the 8th grade.  The 7th grade team's game has been cancelled due to too many injuries.  


BOYS 7/8TH GRADE BASKETBALL TRYOUTS - *NOTE NEW TIMES
The following is the plan for junior high school boys basketball tryouts.

The previous dates and times for open gyms are still good.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION  - OHIO SKATE NIGHT - THURSDAY
Plan to join your friends for an evening of fun at Ohio Skate on Thursday, October 19, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.  Admission is only $3.50 at the door./  Skate rental is $1. if needed.  This is a Community  Education sponsored event. 

HOLIDAY CAMP FUNDRAISER
Plan to attend the Holiday Camp Fundraiser at Indian Creek Camel Farm located at 2740 Consear Road, Lambertville, Michigan (between Secor and Douglas, off  US 23, Take Exit 3) ) on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The cost is only $5.   Holiday Camp provides summer programming for Monroe County youths and adults with disabilities.  Each summer campers come together to experience unique enrichment activities including; swimming, sports, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor recreation.
Flyers are available in the junior high office.

REGISTER NOW FOR 5K ZOMBIE RUN

Hurry! Watch the clock to see if you can make it to safety before your time runs out on Saturday, October 19, at Indian Creek Park.  Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. and the race starts at 5 p.m.
Top prizes will be awarded to the top 3 men and women and best Zombie costume. You must be registered to win.  The entry fee is $20
If you register by today, October 11, you will receive a Zombie Run t-shirt.
