VOLLEYBALL
On Saturday, the 8th grade Bedford Red volleyball team came up short losing in the semifinals of the SEC tournament.  After going 6-0 in pool play, defeating Monroe and Saline and coming out as the number one seed, the red team had their eyes on the prize.  The ladies defeated Chelsea in the quarterfinals before falling to their counterparts on the Bedford White team.  Although the day didn't end how they wanted it to, all of the ladies played a part in a successful day.

Good luck to our red volleyball teams today.  They travel to play Ypsilanti.  There is a 2:15 p.m. early release to allow for travel time.

Good luck to t he white volleyball teams.  They host Monroe Red  at home today at 4:15 p.m.

CROSS COUNTRY
The boys' cross country team took second out of 40 teams at a rainy and mud covered Fostoria Invitational on Saturday.  They were, once again, led by Michael Greely who won his 6th race of the season. Noah Scheffer , Jacob Reaume, Alex Stillmann and Brady Huber all ran well in the mud.  Ian Kolar ran a personal best despite the conditions.  Their trophy is on display in the main office.
The boys will be running on Wednesday at the last league meet of the season and Saturday at Monroe for the county championship.

The Girls Cross Country team raced in rainy conditions on Saturday, finishing in 5th place out of 14 teams.  Way to go lady Broncos!  The girls faced a downpour of rain during the warm-up run, crossed a slippery bridge, and climbed a steep hill before crossing the finish line.  Autumn Oxer came in 21st place, Kaitlin Kochendoerfer 34th, Olivia Cook 36th, and Alli Smith 46th out of 208 runners.  Other runners in the top 100 included Caitlin Stieber, Jillian Sutter, Sadey Turner, Maureen Lingle, and Baylee Canning. The team will race in Adrian for the SEC Jamboree #3.
