Students, our Morley Fundraising is happening right now! Please be out and selling those items in support of student programs here at BJHS. If you sell 20 or more items by tomorrow, September 20, bring in your order form and win a chance at the Money Machine!!!

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings now, it is unsafe to walk on the through the depot.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in tomorrow.  (Forms are green, yellow, or  salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

BUS INFORMATION
Students should ride their own bus home.  Even with a signed note, if there is not enough room, guests may be turned away from the bus in the afternoon. 
   
8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. Eighth hour is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:35-3:25 p.m.  Mrs. Benisatto will meet students at the double doors in the front lobby. PTSA WELCOME BACK DANCE - TODAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2013
The PTSA is sponsoring a "Welcome Back" Dance today, September 19, 2013, after school, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.in the BJHS gym and cafeteria.  Tickets are only $6 and includes membership to the PTSA.  Don't forget to bring extra money for concessions!  Tickets will also be available at the door.

SHREK AUDITIONS
Attentions to all students interested in performing.  Shrek auditions are Tuesday, September 24.  Auditions start at  5:00PM and end at  8:00PM.  Auditions are held at the SHS Auditorium.  Click here for more information.  
VOLLEYBALL
The 8th grade red volleyball team traveled to Tecumseh for their first match and came home with a 25-15, 25-23, 25-7 victory.  the team did a nice job of serve reception with Joelia Griner leading the way while Mackenzie Fuleky led the team in service points with 14.  The team is now 1-0 and plays their first home game on Monday.  Come out and support your Lady Broncos.;

The 7th grade red volleyball team suffered a loss last night.to Tecumseh with scores of 12-25-24-26, 25-14.  Levi Lennard  led the team with 5 aces and Becca Crawford also had 4 aces.  Bree Long did an outstanding job on defense.  The girls will play the Saline Gold team here at Bedford at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.

The 7th grade white volleyball team played a great game against Saline yesterday during their first home match. Unfortunately they came up a few points short and suffered a loss with the scores of 28-30, 25-14 and 23-25.  Lily Varney led the team with her awesome serving and Kylie Schroder did an outstanding job on defense. 

The 8th grade white volleyball beat Saline 21-25,   25-21,  26-24.  Team leaders were Katrina Reynolds in hitting,  Olivia Scaly in setting assist and Emily Waite in serving points.

CROSS COUNTRY
Last night, the girls’ cross country team faced a challenging race against St. Joseph of Sylvania, Clay, and Whitmer.  Our top runner for the night was Autumn Oxer with a time of 13:30 and a 6th place finish out of 68. Great job Autumn! Other top runners included; Kaitlin Kochendoerfer in 27th place, Olivia Cook in 31st, and Alli Smith one second behind Olivia in 32nd place. Congrats to Breanna Everden, Mackenzie Kruska, Sadey Turner, and Alyssa Kochendoerfer who all ran a personal best time.  Good luck to the Lady Bronco's next week Wednesday at Hudson Mills and Saturday at the Clay Invitational.

The boys’ cross country team navigated a tough and confusing course to take third at the Whitmer Invitational last night.  They were, again, led by Michael Greeley who won yet another race.  Michael was followed by Noah Scheffer, who continues to be one of the top 7th graders in the state.  Brady Huber, Colin Bell and Steven Kraine rounded out the top 5 runners for the team.  Great job guys!  The cross country teams have the weekend off, but run twice next week.

VARSITY FOOTBALL - WHITE-OUT T-SHIRTS
White-out t-shirts are being sold during all lunches today and tomorrow for only $5.  Show your support for the varsity football team and wear your white-out shirt to the game tomorrow night!
   
VOLLEY FOR THE CURE
Bedford Varsity Volleyball is sponsoring "Volley for the Cure" on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, in the Bedford High School Gym to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Forms to commemorate a loved one who has been touched by cancer are available in the junior high office.  The cost is $10/  The name of your loved one will be printed on the back of the event t-shirts.  If  you wish to order a t-shirt, the cost is $10.  The shirt will get you in to the game for free.  The deadline to submit forms for names and/or t-shirts is Tuesday, September 24.  Be sure to get your form today!

COMMUNITY EDUCATION - GIRLS' BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The deadline to register for the girls' basketball league has been extended.  Please contact the Community Education Office 734 850-6036  for more information.
