CROSS COUNTRY
The boys' cross country team began the 2013 season by demolishing the competition at the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival.  Michael Greeley took first place out of the over 600 junior high runners at the meet. Michael asserted himself as the top runner in the region and possibly the whole State of Ohio.  Michael wasn't alone in his great performance.  Second on the team was seventh grader Noah Scheffer, who finished as one of the top runners in his grade with a personal best time.  Another seventh grader, Cody Clark, took third for the team with a best time.  Eighth grader Camden Ball ran a career best time and was fourth for the team.  Other runners who ran best times were seventh graders Jake Reaume, Steven Kraine, and Tyler German.  The team will be running against the rest of our SEC League this Wednesday and they will be running against the best runners in Michigan at the Michigan State University on Friday.  Good job guys! Keep up the dominance!

The girls' cross country had a great first meet at the Tiffin Cross Country Carnvial this past Saturday.  Top runners were Autumn Oxer and Jillian Sutter who both finished within the top 50 out of 600 plus runners.  Sadey Turner, Kaitlin Kochendoerfer, Laurel Gotha, Haydn Goldberg, and Olivia Cook all placed within the top 200.  The girls earned a team rank of 27 for the 3200 meter division I/II Varsity race.  The team will compete this week in Monroe at the SEC Jamboree and in East Lansing for the MSU Spartan Invitational.  Way to start off the season Lady Broncos!

Attention any 7th or 8th boy or girl interested in running.  It is not too late to join the cross country team here at Bedford Junior High School.  If you would like to try it just meet behind the junior high by the big oak tree after school.  If you have questions, please fee free to ask Mr. Davis in room # 2 or Mrs. Scheffer in room # 221. We hope to see you out running with us soon.
