AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
If students are attending after school events that do not start immediately after classes, they must go home and return to school when the activity begins.  Please, do not leave unsupervised students at school.

Cell phones should be turned off once a student enters the building in the morning.  

RELAY FOR LIFE - BRONCO BASH - TICKETS ON SALE TODAY
The Junior High Broncos' Relay For Life Team will be holding  The Bronco Bash this Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Junior High.  Come for music and games with all proceeds benefiting the Bedford Relay For Life. Pizza and concessions will be available for purchase that evening. Wristbands will be sold this week during lunch hours for $5.00 today, Thursday, and Friday. Also our relay for life team will be selling suckers during all of the lunches on Friday.

REFLECTIONS RECOGNITION PROGRAM
All of the students who participated in the Reflections Program are invited to Bedford PTSA 2012-2013 Reflections Program on Wednesday, May 15, in the Bedford High School Auditorium.  Snacks will be served immediately following the program.

YEARBOOK NEWS
It is almost time for your 2013 yearbook!  Be sure to check the updated yearbook list located in the  cafeteria or in the office.

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY - OFFICERS' MEETING - TODAY
The NJHS Officers will have a meeting tomorrow, May 1, during 4th hour in the media center to work on the NJHS induction ceremony for new members.

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY – CURRENT MEMBERS
If you are a CURRENT National Junior Honor Society Member, please listen to the following announcement:  If you are a CURRENT member of the Honor Society, you SHOULD a attend the Induction Ceremony on May 7, Tuesday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m..

STUDENTS INTERACT
Students attending today's session of Students Interact should be in the cafeteria at the beginning of first hour for attendance.

8TH GRADE - CAREER DAY
The 8th graders will participate in Career Day on Friday  May 3.  English teachers have student assignments for the day.  There is also a list on the table on the stage in the cafeteria.

SHAKESPEARE PRACTICE - TODAY AND TOMORROW 
Practice will be held today for Shakespeare in the Courtyard from 2:25 – 3:30 in room # 130. 

Also,  there will be a  special practice tomorrow, May 2, 2013, from 2:30-4:00 with the Orchestra and Dr. Robinson’s seventh hour drama classes and  the after school Shakespeare in the Courtyard Club. 

THE GREEN TEAM MEETS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
On behalf of the Bedford Junior High Staff, Mr. Moore would like to thank all of the 30-plus members of the Green Team that have helped to clean up and green up our campus this year.  Your hard work is greatly appreciated! 
Mr. Moore hopes to see you this Thursday and Friday after school from 2:30 to 3:30.

HIGH SCHOOL - TESTING OUT - DATE CHANGED
This is a reminder to 8th graders who would like to test out of a Freshman class next year.  Applications are online and at the high school in the counseling office.  Applications may be turned in May 1 through June 1.

MARCHING BAND - DRUMLINE TRYOUTS
Drumline tryouts for the 2013 Marching Band will be with Mr. Bates on May 9th and 16th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the high school band room.

8TH GRADE SOFTBALL

Bedford 8th grade girls' split a doubleheader with Monroe St. John's.  After jumping out to a 5-1 lead, Bedford could not hold on as St. John's had a 8-run 4th to win 9-7.  Macy Maraugha had a run scoring double.  Taylor Haberland and Joey Rowe had key hits, but their rally fell short. The 2nd game featured a 10 hit attack led by Kristin Hill who had 3 hits and Ashley Manore who had 2 hits for a 14-1 win. Sam Synowka  pitched a one hitter in the victory.


7TH  GRADE SOFTBALL
Good luck to the 7th grade softball team at their home double-header today beginning at 4:00 p.m. with Erie Mason.  Go Broncos!

MOTHER/DAUGHTER SPRING FLING DANCE
Welcome spring and celebrate your mom at the Mother and Daughter Spring Fling Dance on Friday, May 10, from 7-9 p.m.  This will be a lot of fun for you, your friends, and your moms!  There will be tasty treats, beautiful decorations, and a DJ playing your favorite songs.  Fliers with more information are available in the office.  Get to the Community Ed office to get your tickets!  They are open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. or go to the Adult Ed office on Tuesday night from 5:00-6:30 p.m. What a great way to celebrate Mother's Day.
