AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
If students are attending after school events that do not start immediately after classes, they must go home and return to school when the activity begins.  Please, do not leave unsupervised students at school.

Cell phones should be turned off once a student enters the building in the morning.  

PENNY WARS - RELAY FOR LIFE
Ms. Dunnigan won the Penny Wars!!!
Dr. Robinson made the most money!!!
They both will both take part in the Dunk Tank at 4:00 p.m. at the Relay for Life on Saturday, May 18.

CHESS CLUB - MEETS TODAY
Chess Club will meet today from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Dr. Robinson's room # 130.

THE GREEN TEAM
The Green Team will meet on Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

REFLECTIONS RECOGNITION PROGRAM - TOMORROW NIGHT
All students who participated in the Reflections Program are invited to Bedford PTSA, 2012-2013, Reflections Program on Wednesday, May 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bedford High School Auditorium.  Snacks will be served immediately following the program.

SPANISH 1 STUDENTS
Spanish 1 students should please stop by Mrs. Jakubowski’s room to take home their  family trees or photo albums.  Family trees/photo albums must go home by Friday May 17th.

SCIENCE FAIR PROJECTS
Students who submitted a science fair project should stop by Mrs. Davies room # 220 to pick up their project.   All projects need to be picked up by Wednesday, May 15.

YEARBOOK NEWS
It is almost time for your 2013 yearbook!  Be sure to check the updated yearbook list located in the  cafeteria or Dr. Robinson's room # 130.

7TH GRADE SOFTBALL RESULTS
The 7th grade softball team defeated Saline two times last night.  Good team defense supported great pitching from Claire Asmus and Andi Martin.  Hannah Wilke, Riley Sullivan, and Lindsey Huss lead the team on offense with 35 runs.  Bedford will travel to Summerfield tonight.

The 7th grade softball team will travel to play a double-header today in Summerfield.  There is NOT and early dismissal.  Go Broncos!

8TH GRADE SOFTBALL RESULTS
Bedford lost a double header to Saline 2-0 and 8-7. In the 1st game Laura Shake threw a 2-hitter but we could not score despite a valiant effort in the last inning as Megan Cook was thrown out at the plate for the final out. In the 2nd game Bedford came back from a 7-1 deficit to tie it up in the last inning with a 6-run rally. Kristin Hill and Brynn Duvall had key doubles to lead the rally. We could not hold on and lost by 1-run in extra innings. 

TRACK -RESULTS
The boys' junior high track team defeated Chelsea last night 91.5 – 45.5.  Michael Greeley got the meet started off by winning the 3200 M run (11:32.46) and also third in the long jump (14’ 2.5”)
Andrew Farren won the 55 Hurdles( 8.64) and 200 Hurdles (29.54).
Brendan Burns was first in the 800 M run (2:31.45)
Dominic Adduci finished first in the 1600 M run (5:11.24) and tied for third in the high jump ( 4’8”)
Brady Nowak won the 100 M dash (12.14) and pole vault (8’6”)
Galvin Semler won the 200 M dash and high jump (5’2”)
Joseph won the shot put (37’10”) and was 2nd in the 70 M dash (9.33)
Alex Pisanti was first in the 400 M dash (1:02.68) and 2nd in the 200 M dash
Ethan Beck was 2nd in the 400 M dash
Gavin Wilkinson was 3rd in the 55 M hurdles
Darric Garcia 3rd in the 800
Kevin Lingle 3rd in the 1600
Joey Angus 3rd in the shot put
Tyler Rechsteiner third in the 400 M dash
Eli Stevens 2nd in the pole vault and Collin Woolford third in pole vault
TJ Werner, Evan Roach, Nick Lucarelli, and Ian Walland were first in the 800 M relay
Dominic Adduci, Kevin Lingle, Michael Greeley, and Brendan Burn first in the 3200 M relay
Andrew Farren, Joseph Whitaker, Galvin Semler, and Brady Nowak first in the 400 M relay

Last night the Lady Broncos traveled to Chelsea for a dual meet and added to their team wins for the season.  Final team scores for the evening were:  Chelsea     52.5          Bedford     84.5

 HIGH SCHOOL - TESTING OUT - DATE CHANGED
This is a reminder to 8th graders who would like to test out of a Freshman class next year.  Applications are online and at the high school in the counseling office.  Applications may be turned in May 1 through June 1.

SIDELINE CHEER TRYOUTS AND CONDITIONING
All female athletes interested in trying out for any of our sideline cheer teams need to pick up a tryout packet in the office.  This is for anyone who wants to cheer for 7th, 8th, or a high school cheer team!  Current 8th graders who are going into 9th grade should attend cheer conditioning May 20th-24th from 3-5 p.m. in the high school gym. All athletes must have a physical on file with the school. High school tryouts begin Tuesday, May 28th and Junior high tryouts begin June 3rd. Any questions please contact BedfordCheer@gmail.com

MARCHING BAND - DRUM LINE TRYOUTS
Drum line tryouts for the 2013 Marching Band will be with Mr. Bates on May 16th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.in the high school band room.

VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY 
Attention all 8th grade girls interested in running cross country next year at the high school; there will be an informational meeting at the junior high in room # 2, Mr. Davis's room, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 7:00 p.m.  All girls interested in running next fall should sign-up in the junior high office or in Mr. Davis's room.

TEMPERANCE ROAD ELEMENTARY - ALUMNI NIGHT
There will be a TRE Alumni Night on Monday, June 3, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Temperance Road Elementary School for all former Temperance Elementary students and families. 

COMMUNITY EDUCATION - OHIO SKATE NIGHT
Plan to join your friends for an evening of fun at Ohio Skate on Thursday, May 16th, from 6:00-8:30 p.m.  Admission is $3.50 at the door.  Skate rental is $1.00 if needed.  This is a Community Ed sponsored event.
