AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
If students are attending after school events that do not start immediately after classes, they must go home and return to school when the activity begins.  Please, do not leave unsupervised students at school.

CELL PHONES
Cell phones should be turned off once a student enters the building in the morning.  

PENNY WARS - RELAY FOR LIFE
Ms. Dunnigan won the Penny Wars!!!
Dr. Robinson made the most money!!!
They both will both take part in the Dunk Tank at 4:00 p.m. at the Relay for Life on Saturday, May 18.

CHESS CLUB
Chess Club will meet on Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Dr. Robinson's room # 130.

THE GREEN TEAM
The Green Team will meet on Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

TEMPERANCE ROAD ELEMENTARY - ALUMNI NIGHT
There will be a TRE Alumni Night on Monday, June 3, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Temperance Road Elementary School for all former Temperance Elementary students and families. 


REFLECTIONS RECOGNITION PROGRAM
All students who participated in the Reflections Program are invited to Bedford PTSA, 2012-2013, Reflections Program on Wednesday, May 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bedford High School Auditorium.  Snacks will be served immediately following the program.

SPANISH 1 STUDENTS
Spanish 1 students should please stop by Mrs. Jakubowski’s room to take home their  family trees or photo albums.  Family trees/photo albums must go home by Friday May 17th.

SCIENCE FAIR PROJECTS
Students who submitted a science fair project should stop by Mrs. Davies room # 220 to pick up their project.   All projects need to be picked up by Wednesday, May 15.


YEARBOOK NEWS
It is almost time for your 2013 yearbook!  Be sure to check the updated yearbook list located in the  cafeteria or Dr. Robinson's room # 130.

7TH & 8TH GRADE SOFTBALL
The 7th and 8th grade softball teams will host Saline at their double-headers today beginning at 4:00 p.m.

7TH GRADE SOFTBALL RESULTS
The 7th grade softball team traveled to Saline last Friday and came home with 2 wins, 14-2 and 18-3.  Claire Asmus pitched well in game one shutting Saline out until the last inning.  Jordan Costlow hit back to back homeruns in game one.  Riley Sullivan, Hannah Wilke, Courtney Jagielski and Madison Zabawa all had multiple hits.  The 7th grade will play Saline again today at home at the JV Field at 4:00 p.m. 

TRACK
Good luck to the girls' and boys' track teams.  Today they will travel to compete with Chelsea.  The meet begins at 4:15 p.m.  A reminder to teachers and athletes; there is an early release today at 2:15 to allow for travel time.

The boys junior high track team defeated Lincoln yesterday 78 – 59.  
Vince Adduci was first in the 3200 M run with a time of 12:04 and Brendan Burns was 2nd with a time of 12:16
Andrew Farren continued his hurdle dominance winning the 55 H ( 8.62) and 200 H ( 27.9).  Ethan Beck was third in the 200 H ( 32.56)
Dominic Adduci was first in the 800 M run ( 2:17) and 2nd in the high jump (5’0”) .  Kevin Lingle third in the 800 M( 2:32)
Brody Smith was third in the 1600 M run ( 6:01)
Brady Nowak took first in the 100 M dash (12.56) and first in pole vault (8’0”)
Michael Greeley was 2nd in the 400 M dash (59.21) first in the long jump (16’2”) and 2nd in the 200 M dash (26.21)
Charles Hilsenbeck won the 70 M dash ( 9.56) with Joseph Whitaker third ( 9.76), Joseph also won the shot put (36’4”)
Joey Angus was 2nd in the shot put (35’3.5”)
Evan Roach 2nd in pole vault (7’0”) and Collin Wollford 3rd in pole vault (7’0”)
Winning relay teams of Dominic Adduci, John Kraine, Darric Garcia, and Kevin Lingle in the 3200 M relay (10:19.28)
Joseph Whitaker, Galvin Semler, Andrew Farren, and Brady Nowak in the 400 M relay with a season best time of 50.65 seconds.

On Friday the Lady Broncos traveled to Saline to compete in the Hornet Relays.  It was a VERY COLD evening of competition but the girls kept their spirits up and put great efforts forward in spite of the weather. 
1st Place Finishers for the Lady Broncos were Laiya Scheffer in the Pole Vault and Saige Phillips in the Shot Put.
2nd Place Finishers included Caitlyn Stieber in the Pole Vault and the Hornet Relay team of:  Gabi Cole,   
Hannah Ramsey, Saige Phillips and Ashley Wagenhauser
3rd Place Finishers for the Lady Broncos were: the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of: Erica Woodson, Baley Mehki, Brooke Crawford and Joselyn Coleman
 3200 Meter Relay team of:Abbey Jeffrey, Alexis Harpel, Kassidy Schroeder and Alexa Libstorff
Sprint Medley Relay team of:  Abby Monroe, Baley Mehki, Saige Phillips and Ashley Wagenhauser              
Ashley Wagenhauser in the Long Jump and Jada Jones in Shot Put
A special note of congratulations goes out to all of the sprinters who took the challenge and competed in the 1600 Meter Run at the relays.

HIGH SCHOOL - TESTING OUT - DATE CHANGED
This is a reminder to 8th graders who would like to test out of a Freshman class next year.  Applications are online and at the high school in the counseling office.  Applications may be turned in May 1 through June 1.

SIDELINE CHEER TRYOUTS AND CONDITIONING
All female athletes interested in trying out for any of our sideline cheer teams need to pick up a tryout packet in the office.  This is for anyone who wants to cheer for 7th, 8th, or a high school cheer team!  Current 8th graders who are going into 9th grade should attend cheer conditioning May 20th-24th from 3-5 p.m. in the high school gym. All athletes must have a physical on file with the school. High school tryouts begin Tuesday, May 28th and Junior high tryouts begin June 3rd. Any questions please contact BedfordCheer@gmail.com

MARCHING BAND - DRUM LINE TRYOUTS
Drum line tryouts for the 2013 Marching Band will be with Mr. Bates on May 16th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.in the high school band room.

VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY 
Attention all 8th grade girls interested in running cross country next year at the high school; there will be an informational meeting at the junior high in room # 2, Mr. Davis's room, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 7:00 p.m.  All girls interested in running next fall should sign-up in the junior high office or in Mr. Davis's room.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION - OHIO SKATE NIGHT
Plan to join your friends for an evening of fun at Ohio Skate on Thursday, May 16th, from 6:00-8:30 p.m.  Admission is $3.50 at the door.  Skate rental is $1.00 if needed.  This is a Community Ed sponsored event.
