SPRING PICTURES - TODAY
Lifetouch Spring pictures will be taken today, May 6, during lunch hours.  Picture order forms and flyers were distributed during homerooms.  If you wish to purchase a spring picture packet, please complete the order form and place your payment in the envelope provided.  Give your order envelope to the photographer on Tuesday when you have your picture taken.    Extra order forms are available in the office or by clicking on this link.     

RELAY FOR LIFE - BUY A FOOT!
Students,  Relay for Life is coming on May 17th.  In order to support the cause, BJHS students can by a foot during lunches for 1 dollar on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Next Week we will be selling suckers during lunch time.

8TH GRADE STUDENTS - AUDITIONS FOR MARCHING BAND - TODAY
Auditions for Marching Band will be held at the Bedford High School today, May 6, 2014, from 2:45 to 4:30 p.m. See Mr. Meggitt in the band room if you have any questions. 

ALGEBRA PLACEMENT TEST - TOMORROW MORNING
Attention 7th grade students who signed up for Algebra for 8th grade next year; the placement test will take place tomorrow in the cafeteria at 7:30 a.m.  Students should report to first hour for announcements and attendance.  Be sure to have a calculator and # 2 pencils. 

JAMES P. McHUGH ACADEMIC HONORS BANQUET - TOMORROW
The James P. McHugh Academic Honors Banquet will be held tomorrow, May 7, 2014.  Congratulations to the students who are being honored! 

8TH GRADE PANORAMIC PICTURES
We have a few extra panoramic pictures available to purchase.  The cost is $15, and they are in the office.

AFTER SCHOOL CODING -  GRADES 6, 7, 8 - MEETS TODAY
After School Coding Club meets on Tuesdays in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m.  Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.  

THE GREEN TEAM - MEETS TODAY AND TOMORROW
The Green Team is having fun and making a difference.  We will meet this week, today and Wednesday, May 6th, and 7th, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.  We will be focusing on cleaning up the courtyards.  If you have not been able to join us, we would be glad to have you attend any or both days. Bring your gloves, and be prepared to work.  Meet in room # 40.

TRACK
The boys defeated Ypsi yesterday 109 - 28.
Michael Greeley won the long jump and the 200 M dash
Austin Hammer won the 200 Hurdles
Brady Long took 2nd in the 400 M dash
Caleb Gill was 2nd in the 800.
Colin Bell won the 3200 
Elijah Flood won the high jump.
Great job by everyone who participated.

Congratulations to the Lady Broncos on their win last night against Ypsilanti.  The girls swept 7 of the 12 events and won all 4 relays.   The final team scores were:   Ypsilanti     23   Bedford   104

SOFTBALL RESULTS FROM LAST WEEK
The Bedford 8th grade girls' softball team stretched their record to 5-1 with a doubleheader sweep of Summerfield. The 1st game we squeezed out a 12-11 win led by Heidi Fausz' 3 hits. Claire Asmus pitched and struck out 11. Claire and Courtney Jagielski each had 2 hits and Belle Winters squelched a rally with a fine catch in right field of a wind blown flyball to secure the win. Koryn King  pitched a no-hitter in the 2nd game, struck out 7 and walked 3 en route to a 15-4 victory. Koryn, also, had 3 hits including a double and a long home run. Jordan Costlow  and Courtney Jagielski each had a double. Ali Cousino and Claire Asmus had 2 hits each to lead the offense.

BEDFORD VOLLEYBALL CAMP - GRADES 6, 7, 8
There will be a Bedford Volleyball Camp this summer for girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.  Please pick up a flyer in the office if you are interested.  Register early to make sure you don't get closed out! 

AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Students should ride the bus home after school.  If they wish to attend or watch an after school event, parents should bring them back to school.  Students are NOT allowed to wander the hallways during events.  If you do come back to school, or stay after school to participate in a club, please be sure to stay in the area you belong in.

BE PROMPT!  DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt!  The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.  

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY

8TH HOUR
