Today is the 30th day of the 2012-2013 school year.  There are 145 days remaining.

TIME IS FLYING BY -TRIMESTER 1 - HALF-WAY DONE!
Friday, October 12, marked the middle of trimester 1.  Today 6th graders who are in drama or music to flip to the opposite class.  So, if you were in drama  last Friday, you will go to music today.  If you were in music Friday, you will go to drama day.  All other students will remain in their same class until December 3, which is the first day of Trimester 2. 

There is no MEAP Testing today.  

MEAP REMINDER
Math MEAP Testing is Tuesday, October 16.  Students may use calculators for this test.  Students should have their calculator with their name clearly marked with them today.

RED RIBBON WEEK - NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
NJHS students are invited to help make posters for Red Ribbon week tomorrow, October 16, after school in room #134 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

YEARBOOKS - ON SALE
It's that time of year!  It is time to order your yearbook!  The cost is  $40.  Place your yearbook order early; the price will be going up in December.  Yearbooks may be purchased during lunch or in Dr. Robinson's room # 130.

BRONCO CHARITY CLUB
The Bronco Charity Club will meet on Wednesday, October 18.  The club will have fun performing service projects at BJHS and the community.  See Mrs. Currie in room # 203 for more information.

VOLLEYBALL
The red volleyball team will host Saline Gold beginning at 4:14 p.m. in the BJHS gym.  Come back to school and support the team.

The white volleyball team will travel to play Lincoln.  There is not an early dismissal today!

CROSS COUNTRY
The boys cross country team smoked the competition this weekend at the unofficial county championship meet up in Monroe.  Michael Greeley, Brendan Burns, John Kraine, and Davis Molnar all metaled taking 1st,3rd,9th and 10th overall.  The guys have one final meet this Saturday in Dexter at the year-end Mega-Jamboree.

Our girls cross country team dominated the Dave Bork Classic this weekend in Monroe.  We had 5 girls earn medals for finishing in the top 15 overall.  They were Ashley Wagenhauser, Alexa Libstorff, Alexis Harpel, Autumn Oxer and Caitlin Steiber.  Also running their best times of the year, were Moriah Torongeau, Mackenzie Kruszva, and Kira Hanusz.  The girls continue to look strong and improve as the season winds down.  Great Job Ladies!!!

LEOS - YMCA
Would you like something fun and meaningful to do?  If so, you are invited to join the YMCA Leos Club. The Leos Club is a fun and energetic group that spends its time volunteering and learning leadership skills. They help out with YMCA sports and events, do community service, and go on trips and service weekends. They meet every Tuesday at 6:30 at the YMCA." The group is a big part of many Jr. High and High School lives. There are dues for Leos but they are really flexible on when they are to be paid. As of right now, they are due around the same time Christmas break is; and they are $25. There is no date of which students have to be registered by. Each month we run Teen Night on the third Saturday. Teens are invited to come and participate in activities that include swimming, dodge-ball, basketball, Xbox, etc. Entrance is $5 at the door.
