The 8th grade white volleyball team placed third in the SEC tournament over the weekend falling to the Bedford  red team in the semifinals.  Despite the loss, the ladies won their pool and played tough all day.  Leaders throughout the day were Taylor Haberland and Erika Wilt versus Monroe, Kassie Brandon and Molly Vogel versus Saline, Kassidy Schroeder and Macy Maraugha versus Ypsilanti.  The Lady Broncos are now 8-2.
The red volleyball teams will host Ypsilanti today in the Bedford Junior High Gym.  Come back to school at 4:15 p.m. and support the teams!

The white volleyball teams will travel Monroe to take on their red teams.  There is not an early dismissal.

CROSS COUNTRY
The girls' cross country team had another successful weekend.  They finished 9th out of 41 teams at the Portage Invitational.  Three of our girls earned medals for finishing in the top 50 out of almost 600.  Ashley Wagenhauser was 18th, Alexa Libstorff 24th, and Alexis Harpel was 43rd.  Mackenzie Kruszka and Hadyn Goldberg also ran very well.  The entire team had a good day.  Super job girls!!!

The boys' cross country team competed at the Portage Invitational this weekend.  Out of the 66 schools represented, they took 19th.  This is the largest junior high meet in the state with over 600 runners.  Michael Greeley and Brendan Burns both metaled.  Brady Huber, David Jordan, and Justin Bennett all ran great races to help the team.  The guys race twice this week at Saline on Wednesday, and Monroe on Saturday.
