MATH-A-THON
Attention all students:
It is Math-a-thon time!!! Math-a-thon is a fun way to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The money raised will help children who have cancer. Students who turn in $100 or more will be invited to a brand new, totally fun lock-in to celebrate. If you would like to participate in this year’s Math-a-thon please see your math teacher, or Mrs. Brown in room 23.
T-SHIRTS
Next week Monday and Tuesday t-shirts will be sold for $5 during lunches to honor Ms. Hixon's brother Chris and support awareness of school safety. Everyone that purchases one should wear them on March 14th. Any money that is made will go to the Chris Hixon Scholarship Fund.

SOFTBALL
**7th and 8th grade girls interested in trying out for softball. There will be open gym March 12th, March 14th, and March 15th at 3:00-4:30. Reminder, your sports physical needs to be turned in before tryouts.**
7th and 8th grade girls softball tryouts will be held in the junior high gym from 3-5:30 starting March 19th, you must bring an updated physical to be able to participate, please be prepared for either indoor or outdoor with equipment and clothes.
BJHS BOYS TRACK ANNOUNCEMENT - PRESEASON SIGN UP
BJHS Boys Track Season will begin on Monday, March 19. Practice will be held from 2:45 until 4:15 p.m. All interested boys in grades 6-8 please sign up outside of Mr. Muck's (Room 207) and Mrs. Vogel's (Room.206).
JHS GIRLS TRACK ANNOUNCEMENT - PRESEASON SIGN UP
Attention all girls in 6th -8th grade interested in running track this spring. Practice will begin on Monday, March 19, 2018. Those interested in joining can sign up outside Mr. Davis's room # 217. Everyone must have a sports physical completed before practice begins. Physical forms can be found online or in the front office. For those middle distance and distance runner who would like to start conditioning before the season begins,a group will be meeting after school on Mondays and Tuesdays for some light training . Conditioning began on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, and will meet in the cafeteria after school at 2:45 p.m. and go until about 4:35 p.m.

RECYCLING AT BJHS
Stop.... don't throw away your old , dried up markers!
We are excited to participate in collecting and converting our markers into clean energy.
Teachers, this also includes dry erase markers. There is a container behind the door monitor, please put all old markers in this container!
Together, we are helping our planet one handful of markers at a time!
ALL MULES MATTER
All mules matter meets every Monday during homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.

Juggling club will not be meeting until further notice.

BUS NOTES
Bus notes need to be brought to the office in the morning to be stamped before school starts. Absolutely no notes will be stamped after the afternoon announcements. If the note is not stamped you will have to ride your normal bus home.
EXIT PASSES
Exit passes can be given if a written note from home is turned into the office. All notes are to be brought to the office before school starts so your exit pass can be written. Then you are to report to the door monitor at the time indicated on your pass. Once your ride arrives you can exit the build to go to your appointment. You CAN NOT exit the building without a pass. Make sure to turn your note into the main office before the morning bell so they can issue you a exit pass.
BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker.
EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.
8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center. It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center Forms can be picked up in the office.
NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone must be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches.
HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.
