STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Hemry chose Matthew S. as our Student of the Week.
Matthew always strives to do his best and brings out the best in others too. He is polite, respectful, and always has a smile on his face. Matthew rises to the challenge of my class, and he uses all of the resources provided to complete outstanding work. His positive attitude shines on his teacher and his peers. His willingness to help others be their best self is commendable!  

LACROSSE
Boys lacrosse practices start Monday the 19th and will be Monday thru Thursday next week. Practices are from 5-7:00 each day. They will be held at the far North-East corner of Indian Creek park.  If you are not sure where it is, get a hold of Coach Ullery before Monday.

JUNIOR PERFORMERS
Are you a 6th, 7th, or 8th grader who likes to sing or dance?  If you are, join the Bedford Junior Performers.  Pick up a registration form and schedule from the main office or talk to Mr. Smith. 
Auditions will be held on Sunday, March 18, from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  There will be one performance held in the high school auditorium on Friday, March 23.  Mr. Smith is looking forward to seeing you all there for an awesome week!
NEW CLUB
Do you want to have fun hanging out with friends?  Do you like to compete?  Today, after school, we will be having Board Game Club in room 131.  We will be playing board games, collectible card games, chess, and many more.  Bring any games you would like to play and a friend.  We will be gaming until 4:00, so please make sure you have a ride.

MATH-A-THON
Make sure you turn in your permission slip to your math teacher, or bring it to Mrs. Brown in room 23.  You may register online at mathathon.stjude.org to find out more information, or to get online pledges from your sponsors.  Come to room 23 if you have any questions.
Please try to have all of your pledges collected this week, and turn them in on Friday, March 16th.

SOFTBALL
**7th and 8th grade girls interested in trying out for softball. There will be open gym March 12thMarch 14th, and March 15th at 3:00-4:30. Reminder, your sports physical needs to be turned in before tryouts.**

7th and 8th grade girls softball tryouts will be held in the junior high gym from 3-5:30 starting March 19th, you must bring an updated physical to be able to participate, please be prepared for either indoor or outdoor with equipment and clothes.

BJHS BOYS TRACK ANNOUNCEMENT - PRESEASON SIGN UP
BJHS Boys Track Season will begin on Monday, March 19.  Practice will be held from 2:45 until 4:15 p.m.  All interested boys in grades 6-8 please sign up outside of Mr. Muck's (Room 207) and Mrs. Vogel's (Room.206).  Please be prepared for very cold and wet weather, and have a MHSAA physical dated as of April 15, 2017

JHS GIRLS TRACK ANNOUNCEMENT - PRESEASON SIGN UP
Attention all girls in 6th -8th grade interested in running track this spring.  Practice will begin on Monday, March 19, 2018.  Those interested in joining can sign up outside Mr. Davis's room # 217.  Everyone must have a sports physical completed before practice begins.  Physical forms can be found online or in the front office.

Each student who recruits one presenting donor will receive an American Red Cross blanket!

RECYCLING AT BJHS
Stop.... don't throw away your old , dried up markers! 
 We are excited to participate in collecting and converting our markers into clean energy. 
Teachers, this also includes dry erase markers. There is a container behind the door monitor, please put all old markers in this container! 
Together, we are helping our planet one handful of markers at a time!

ALL MULES MATTER
All mules matter meets every Monday during homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.

JUGGLING CLUB
Juggling club will not be meeting until further notice.

CHARITY CLUB 
Charity club will not be meeting until further notice.


BUS NOTES
Bus notes need to be brought  to the office in the morning to be stamped before school starts.  Absolutely no notes will be stamped after the afternoon announcements.  If the note is not stamped you will have to ride your normal bus home.

EXIT PASSES
Exit passes can be given if a written note from home is turned into the office.  All notes are to be brought to the office before school starts so your exit pass can be written.  Then you are to report to the door monitor at the time indicated on your pass. Once your ride arrives you can exit the build to go to your appointment.  You CAN NOT exit the building without a pass.  Make sure to turn your note into the main office before the morning bell so they can issue you a exit pass.

BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker. 

EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.  

8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone must be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches. 

HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.
