VOLLEYBALL MEETING
Girls thinking about trying out for freshman, JV or Varsity volleyball, there will be a meeting for athletes and their parents Thursday, June 1, 2017. The meeting will take place in the old gym at the High School at 7:30 PM.

OUTSTANDING BRONCO
Are you an 8th grade girl or boy who has great character? Do you feel you have what it takes to represent our class in a positive manner? Have you seen the bulletin board outside of the office? If you feel you may have the traits to be considered for the elite award of Outstanding Bronco, please go to your email and find the google form and fill it out byThursday, May 25. The Outstanding Bronco will be announced at the 8th grade recognition.
STUDENT COUNCIL M-STEP AFTER PARTY
The BIGGEST event to end the school year is this Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6-8 PM. Student Council is throwing a M-STEP After Party There will be an inflatable obstacle course, volleyball, music and a amazing slush machine. The best thing is a dunk tank with many of your favorite teachers volunteering to take the plunge. Don't miss out get your wrist band for only $5 during lunches this week.

Tennis Club members, if you want a club t-shirt, please put your shirt size on the sign up form outside of Mrs. Vogel's door, room # 206, before 9:30 this morning. You do not have to have your money yet, but the order will be called in on Tuesday. Tennis Club begins on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, so don't forget your racket, a snack and water bottle. You will meet in room # 206 and walk down to the courts as a group.
It is not too late to sign up and more boys are needed. No experience is needed. See Mrs. Vogel in room # 206 if you are an 8th grade boy and would like to try out for the JV Team next year. Students need to join the Remind group to receive communications from this point forward. Contact Mrs. Vogel via e-mail to get the code.

Do you just want some feedback on a writing of yours? Do you just want to write period? If any of these apply to you, come on down to writing Club on Tuesdays after school from 2:40 to 3:40 p.m. in Ms.Deporre's room # 49. All you need is your chromebook, your imagination, and a ride home.

Forms are available in the main office for summer drivers' education offered at Bedford High School. If you will be 15 by October 26, you are eligible for the June 26th class. If you will be 15 by November 24, you are eligible for the July 24th class. You can also sign up online at the Community Ed page.

MANUFACTURING DAY
Any student in 7th grade that is interested in applying to attend Manufacturing Day in October needs to fill out an application. Manufacturing Day provides students with the opportunity to tour local industries with other students, explore career opportunities in manufacturing, and see a part of modern manufacturing. There are great jobs in Bedford in the field of manufacturing. Applications can be picked up from Mrs. Hemry. They are due to Mrs. Hemry on Friday, May 26.

With the warmer temperatures, please keep in mind we adhere to a dress code at the junior high school. Here is a portion of the dress code:
Shorts and skirts need to be past the palm of your hand and touch a portion of your fingers
Muscle shirts cannot have jagged cuts and must have an appropriate tank under the arms
All tops must have straps that are 2 fingertip widths or wider and must cover all parts of undergarments.
All tops must cover the waistband of your pants.
You will be asked to call home immediately if you are violating the dress code.

DROP OFF ITEMS
Students, if your parents drop off items for you during the day, they will be held at the front door with our door monitor. Students will only be called down during class change so as not to interrupt class time. Please listen to announcements during the class changes for your name. At that time, you may pick up your items from the door monitor.
YOUNG WRITER'S DAY
The Junior High will be holding a Young Writer's Day later this school year. This event celebrates creative writing and allows students to share and develop an original work of fiction in a safe and structured environment. This is open to all grade levels. If you are interested, pick up a form from Mrs. Matlow in room 35 or Mr. Lorenz in room 38.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Top collections !! This year we will be collecting box tops and having a friendly competition between home rooms. This is an easy way to fund raise for the extra things our classrooms my need throughout the year. Just ask your students and parents to clip and save. Deposit them in the collection boxes with your homeroom name on them (or place in Mrs. Nimigean's mailbox in the high school or Mr. Muck's mailbox in the junior high).We will collect for 3 months for each giveaway.Winners will be awarded the first of December, March and June (top collector in each building). Make sure you get them turned in for a homeroom treat!
