BOYS LACROSSE
Saturday Bedford Lacrosse traveled to Perrysburg where they faced the Wolves.  This was a defensive game all the way.  Bedford scorers were Eli Lozinski and Jackson Rogers with an assist by Brandon Ullery.  The defense played well allowing only 4 goals in the loss to the Wolves.  Kyle Costlow had his second best game with 9 saves on 13 shots. 
Great effort and hustle by all the players and we hit the field again on Wednesday night.

GIRLS TRACK

The girls track team won a close meet against Dexter 70-67.  Scoring for Bedford in distance were Olivia Kruk, Belle Easton, and Bella Johnson.  Scoring in sprints were Krista Roessle, Molly Koviak, Emma Wagenhauser, Macy Miscikowski, and Laney Cubberly.  Rowan Brittain, Hannah Bobrowski, Laney Cubberly, Lauren Nigh, Emily Cooker, Susannah Cochran, Crystal Jajou, Dayna Dec, Alyssa Crawford, Emma Wagenhauser, and Bella Johnson scored in field events.  Our 200 relay team of Izzy Striggow, Molly Koviak, Jade Gutierrez, and Emma Wagenhauser as well as our 800 relay team of Bella Johnson, Alex Knapp, Jillian Falzone, and Belle Easton placed first.  The team is 6-0 with only two meets left.  Keep the winning streak alive this Thursday against Lincoln.   

BOYS TRACK FOR MAY 5TH AND 9TH
The Bedford boys team lost last Thursday to a strong Saline Hornets team, by a score of 74 - 56.

Highlights:   

  • Matt brown took 1st in Shot Put by throwing a PR of 35 feet.
  • Brandon Thomas was 1st place in all 3 of the events he and his teammates participated in. (100M Dash, 55M hurdles, 4x 1 Team of Logan Channer, Seth Oxer, Connor Ullery, and Brandon Thomas).
  • Seth Oxer won 200 M Hurdles
  • Noah Bock, Adian Burns took 1st and 3rd in 3200 m run
  • Mitchell Harvey took 3rd in the 70 M Dash.


The Bedford boys team lost to The Dexter Dreadnaughts, by a score of 71 - 66.

Highlights:   

  • Tyler Smith and Adien Burns finished 2nd and 3rd in the 2 mile run. .
  • Matt (Road Rash) Kochendofer - Rebounded to win the 800 M Run after taking a header in the 55 M hurdles - Great Job Matt.
  • The Bedford Team of Noah Bock, Ethan Gartee, Ivan Stratten Swept the 1600 M Run (2 mile)
  • Mitchell Harvey took 1st in the 70 M Dash
  • 4x 200 M Relay Team took 1st - Logan Hulliberger, Mitchel Harvey, Seth Oxer and Jake Ehlert.

ART OF FASHION CLUB
Hey! Do you have style! Would you like to create you own fashion? 
Join The Art of Fashion Club.  Fashion club will start meeting on Wednesday after school from 2:30-3:30 pm in Mrs. Copley's/ Miss Culp's Art Room.  Please secure a ride home before attending.

HALLWAY RULES - NO FOOD OR DRINKS
Water bottles, drinks, and food are strictly prohibited in the hallways as 
of now. We are having increasing issues with spills, messes and school property being damaged. Teachers, if you see students out in the halls with these items and they do not have a doctor's note allowing it with them, take or discard the bottles. Food items are never allowed to be opened and transported.

M-STEP STATE TESTING FOR 7TH GRADE
M-step takes place for 7th graders May 9 - 27, 2016.  They should have their chromebooks fully charged each day.  Also remember to bring earbuds or headphones and your charger everyday of testing.  Absences are unexcused during this window.  See Mr. Hurley if you have any questions.

BEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND
Are you interested in joining the Bedford High School Marching Band but you don't play an instrument?  Do you like to dance or learn choreography?  Do you want to be part of a hard-working team?  Join the Bedford High School Color Guard and Twirler Auditions.  Come to the May 10th tryouts at 2:45 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the High School Gym.  Dress for physical activity and movement!!!  Please email cory.meggitt@mybedford.us with any questions. Registration papers will be available at tryouts. 

BUS ROUTES THAT CAN NOT HAVE EXTRA RIDERS 
At this time we are experiencing a number of overcrowded buses with 3 to a seat and we are unable to accommodate extra riders. The following bus routes are not excepting bus passes until further notice. We are taking student counts on all runs and will be adjusting routes over the next couple weeks.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BUS ROUTE # THAT YOU WILL BE RIDING ON YOUR NOTE BEFORE YOU BRING IT TO THE OFFICE.

BOX TOPS
Please turn in box tops as we go so there are not so many to count and prepare for redemption.
Place box tops in collection box or deliver to Mr. Muck in room #201.
Please, Make sure 4th hour teacher's name is clearly marked on the bag with the number of box tops in each bag. Keep clipping!!

PHONE USE DURING SCHOOL
Under no circumstances are you allowed to text your parents or anyone else during the school day. If you are feeling ill, come down to the health room. If you forgot something or need something, please ask your teacher for permission to call home. After this week, if a student is found to be texting for these reasons, you will receive the 2 penalty halls for cell phone violations.

CHROMEBOOK REMINDER
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. The bottom of the blue case has support to one book only. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break. Broken chromebooks will have to pay a $25 deductible to get it fixed.

Students should always carry chromebook cases by the handle.

Students, please remember you need to report to your next class before coming to the Health Room. Do not stop in between classes unless it is an emergency.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
No leggings, yoga pants or joggers unless the top is fingertip length or longer. Also, shorts and skirts are to be fingertip length or longer.
