AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
If students are attending after school events that do not start immediately after classes, they must go home and return to school when the activity begins.  Please, do not leave unsupervised students at school to wait.

CELL PHONES
Cell phones should be turned off once a student enters the building in the morning.  

TRIMESTER 2 ENDS MARCH 13 - EXAM SCHEDULE
Exams will be held on Tuesday, March 12, during  hours 4/5, 6., and 7, and Wednesday, March 13, during hours 1, 2, and 3.

CONGRATULATIONS LAUREN SULLIVAN
Lauren is the State Champion at the Ohio Swimming Junior Olympics in the 100 backstroke.  She was state runner-up in the 200 backstroke and was top 10 in all other events.

YEARBOOK ANNOUNCEMENT
If your child ordered a yearbook, please remind him/her to check the list on the wall next to the showcase by the cafeteria to make sure their name is on it.  If their name is NOT on the list, please have him/her see Dr. Robinson in room # 130.

JUGGLING CLUB
Juggling Club will resume on Tuesday, March 12, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

SHAKESPEARE IN THE COURTYARD - PRACTICE
Practice for Shakespeare in the Courtyard will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in room # 130.

CHESS CLUB
Chess Club is cancelled this week.

MATH-A-THON
The books have been ordered and they should be here this week.  Whether you need a book or not, continue getting your pledges.  Make sure checks are made payable to St. Jude Children's Hospital; or, donations may be made on line.  Students with $100 or more in pledges will be invited to a lock-in.  Keep up the good work!

ALL STUDENTS - LITERARY MAGAZINE
The Yearbook staff is also accepting poetry, short stories, vignettes, and other vehicles of expression for our annual Literary Magazine.  Please submit your entries in the box located in the office.

7/8th GRADE SOFTBALL TRYOUTS
Softball tryouts begin on Monday, March 18, at Indian Creek Fields 1 and 2 or the junior high gym from 3:30-5:30 p.m.  You must have a physical form to try out.  Bring all equipment, and be prepared to be inside or outside.  Practice will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

7/8TH GRADE GIRLS' AND BOYS' TRACK
The first day of track practice is Monday, March 18.  Come dressed for the weather.  We will be running outside.  Everyone MUST have their physical before practice starts on Monday to participate.  If your physical will not be done for the first day of practice, talk to your coach, Coach Bauer and Coach Davis for the girls and Coach Muck for the boys.   All track athletes should be dressed and ready to go at 2:45 p.m.  Practice ends at 4:15 p.m.  Be sure to tell your rides so they can be here to pick you up.  The girls will meet in the cafeteria and the boys will meet on the boys' side of the gym.

SOIREE JUNIOR SINGERS - DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS TODAY
Join the Soiree!  Become a Soiree Junior Singer!  This is your chance to share the spotlight and share the joy of performing at Bedford High School.  There will be TWO performances just for the Soiree Juniors and the Soiree Singers along with some special guest performances.  Students will also have an opportunity to perform as a soloist through special auditions called "Bedford Junior Idol".  Soiree Junior will perform live  on stage on March 22, and 23, at 8:00 p.m.  Students will receive a Soiree junior T-shirt to keep, two free tickets to the show, one free ticket to see Bedford Idol on March 18, a chance to win a pair of tickets to the upcoming shows at the Huntington Center, Fisher Theatre, etc., and have lots of fun with the members of the Soiree Singers and Mr. Smith.  More information and registration forms are available in the junior high office and on line www.bhstheatrearts.com/bhschoirs
