6TH GRADE BAND CONCERT
Best wishes to our 6th grade band students at their first performance.  The concert will be held in our cafeteria from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.  Band students should report at 6:00 p.m.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - THANKSGIVING BREAK
Thanksgiving break begins and Wednesday, November 21, 2012.  Students will return to school on Monday, November 26, 2012.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - MORLEY MONEY DUE - NOVEMBER 14
There are still a few Morley orders that have not been paid.  Please bring your money in  tomorrow.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - U OF M / OSU HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE KICK OFF
This is your last chance . . . the U of M / OSU canned good competition will end tomorrow morning.  Don't forget to bring in your non-perishable items tomorrow.  The class with the most items will win breakfast from the Student Council.  Who will win. . . U of M or OSU?

7TH GRADE - STUDENTS INTERACT
Students Interact for the November 28, session has been moved to December 5.  7th Graders that were invited still can turn in their permission slip by November 30, to Mrs. Connolly.   The slips that have already been turned in will be saved.  The session was moved so students can study and do their best on Trimester 1 exams.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - CONGRATULATIONS ENGINEERING EAGLES ROBOTICS TEAM
Congratulations to the Engineering Eagles Robotics Team for winning the innovative Solutions Award.
The solution was the "Sonic Shoe" that uses sonar technology to warn you if something is in your way when you are walking.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - CONGRATULATIONS TECHNO TIGERS ROBOTICS TEAM
Congratulations to the junior high members of the Techno Tigers Robotics Team for their Gracious Professionalism Trophy and qualifying for states.  Mrs. Matlow, Mr., and Mrs. Hirsch are proud of you!

FOR ALL STUDENTS - REFLECTIONS CONTEST - DEADLINE EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 7th
The PTSA Reflections Arts \contest is now accepting entries in 6 categories: Visual Arts, Literature, Photography, Film/Video Production, Musical Composition, and Dance Choreography. A set of rules are posted in the Media Center windows and are also available in the office. You can also check online at http://bedfordptareflections.weebly.com/.

Entry forms are available in the Media Center and Office, plus online at the site listed above. Entries can be dropped off in the Media Center and the entry deadline has been extended to December 7th. There is no limit on the number of entries you can turn in or the number of categories you can enter.

Every entry will get a prize. There will also be a grand prize drawing for a $25 gift certificate. Would you like to increase your chance of winning? Refer-a-Friend! When you submit an entry, a card will be delivered to their homeroom. Give that card to a friend and if they turn in a qualified Reflections entry and that card, you both get an extra ticket in the grand prize drawing!

7 AND 8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL
Today the 7 and 8th grade white basketball teams will take on Dexter Maroon in the BJHS Gym beginning at 4:15 p.m.

The 7 and 8th grade red basketball teams will travel to play Chelsea Gold today.  A reminder to teachers and athletes, there is an early release today at 2:00 p.m. to allow for travel time.

FOR ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN  BASKETBALL
There will be an open gym for any girl in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade interested in playing basketball this Sunday, November 25, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

FOR ALL STUDENTS - VARSITY VOLLEYBALL
The Varsity Volleyball team fell just a short in their quest for a State Championship as they lost to Dakota in the finals 22-25, 21-25, 24-26.   Thank you very much to all 7th and 8th grade volleyball players, staff members, and others who cheered and supported us!

FOR ALL STUDENTS - LEOS CLUB - YMCA
Would you like something fun and meaningful to do?  If so, you are invited to join the YMCA Leos Club. The Leos Club is a fun and energetic group that spends its time volunteering and learning leadership skills. They help out with YMCA sports and events, do community service, and go on trips and service weekends. They meet every Tuesday at 6:30 at the YMCA." The group is a big part of many Jr. High and High School lives. There are dues for Leos but they are really flexible on when they are to be paid. As of right now, they are due around the same time Christmas break is; and they are $25. There is no date of which students have to be registered by. Each month we run Teen Night on the third Saturday. Teens are invited to come and participate in activities that include swimming, dodge-ball, , etc. Entrance is $5 at the door.
