SHREK - THIS WEEKEND!!!!
Come out to see Shrek the Musical Jr. this evening, Friday, April 26, at 7pm or Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Admission with your student ID is just $5. The show is in the Bedford High School Auditorium. Hope to see you there!

YOUNG WRITERS
Attention all writers: Mrs. Matlow and Miss DePorre will be hosting Young Writers Day on May 30th, during hours 5,6, and 7 in Mrs. Matlow's room,
#35.  The past 3 years, students have really enjoyed it.  We encourage you to pick up a participation form from Mrs. Matlow to sign up.  There will be pizza and pop for lunch.  Students will watch an author video and write a group story.   Please see Mrs. Matlow in room #35 to pick up a participation form. See you there!

All Mules Matter students are having a float sale for autism awareness this Tues, Wed, and Thurs for $1 during all lunches.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK - 
Payton W. is student of the week for the week of 4/22. He was nominated by Ms. DePorre and here's what she had to say...
Payton is an incredibly thoughtful young man who always puts his best foot forward. He is dedicated to learning, is considerate of everyone around him, and exemplifies positive character.

ART CLUB REMINDER
Art Club will meet this coming Monday, after school in room # 134 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

GIRLS TRACK RESULTS
The Bedford Junior High girls' track team beat Adrian in the first home meet of the season!
  • Alison M took first place int he 70 meter dash
  • Sidney D tool first in the 200 dash
  • Emma B took first and Lilly B took third in the 400 meter dash
  • Ally B took first and Sam S took second in the 800 meter run
  • Bekah A took first, Sydney D took second and Kate D took third in the 1600 meter run
  • Ava R took first and Mya O took second in the 3200 meter run
  • Gabby P took first and Zita L took third in the 55 meter hurdles
  • Gabby P was first, Zita L Second, and Jaelyn H took third in the 200 meter hurdles
  • Emma B, Lilly B, Adelle R, and Mia G took first in the 4x200 meter relay
  • Harmony M, Izzy L, Natalie M, Delaney C took first in the 4x400 relay
  • Ally B, Sydney D, Ava R, and Bekah A took first in the 4x800 meter relay
  • Samantha T took third for shot put
  • Ally B took second in high jump
  • Bekah A took first in the pole vault
  • Sam S took second in the long jump
Great job on the first meet of the season!  


VOLLEYBALL SUMMER CAMP
Volleyball summer camp flyers are in the office. Camp is Monday through Thursday, June 17-20th from 12-2:30 at the high school for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Please register early so you are left out. 

COMMUNITY ED.
Time is running out for tickets for the annual Mother Daughter Boot Scootin Boogie Dance on May 10th. Tickets are on sale now through May 3rd in the Community Education Office


Glow Bowling - Boys get your moms and join us for a fun night of glow bowling and pizza at Forest View Lanes on June 7. Tickets are on sale in the Community Education Office

BEDFORD SIDELINE CHEER TRYOUTS
Junior High tryouts (6th/7th graders): May 20-22 from 3-5 pm, high school new gym

High School tryouts (8th graders): May 28-30 from 5-7 pm, high school new gym

For tryouts athletes must wear Bedford colors, cheer or tennis shoes, and no jewelry throughout all of tryouts! All participants must have a current physical on file. NO EXCEPTIONS. Go to the office for more details and paperwork.

BEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND
Want to join the marching band, but don't know how to play an instrument? Do you like to dance and learn choreography? Do you want to be part of a hard working team? Join us for the BHS Color Guard auditions! Come to the clinics/tryouts April 29th and May 1st from 3-5pm in the HS gym. Dress for physical activity and movement! STUDENT DROP OFF
Parents, there is ABSOLUTELY no student drop off in the front of the building. Please drop off your student in the back of the building.

AUTISM AWARENESS
April is Autism Awareness month! Please wear your Autism Awareness shirt every Friday during the month of April.

Anyone interested in an Autism Awareness shirt that did that already get one, please sign up in the media center room #56. There is a sign up sheet posted on the door.

CHROMEBOOKS
Parents and students, the Junior high has gone through all of it's loaners and it's supplemental 40 Chromebooks in the last month or so, with Mstep testing coming up, we can't keep up with the break rates. Please remind students to be careful with their Chromebooks, and keep a watchful eye out for kids abusing them.

SPORTS

REMINDER 
Just a reminder to students - cell phones are not to be used during the day to text or call their parent to come pick them up when they are not feeling well.  (Please do not email either). Students are to come to the health room.  You can use the student phone located in the office.  Too many parents are showing up for their sick student and the health room/office is not aware.  Please see your Student Handbook regarding use of Cell Phones.

DRESS CODE 
Just a reminder to parents and students about the school dress code. Jeans with rips or holes in them is not allowed. Also, hoods of any kind are not to be worn inside the building.
