SAY SOMETHING WEEK
During the week of February 25 - March 1, 2019 thousands of schools and youth organizations from across the United States will participate in Say Something Week. Say Something Week raises awareness and educates students and the community on ways to take action to prevent violence.  Say Something Week reinforces the power young people have to prevent tragedies and save lives when they Say Something to a trusted adult. I have signed us up for "Say Something Week" through the Sandy Hook Project and NJHS students will be helping to facilitate the activities for the week. There will be a different theme each day starting on Monday with...

Monday we will celebrate the life and legacy of Chris Hixon a victim from the Parkland Florida tragedy and the brother of our BJHS PE teacher Mrs.Hixon with a birthday theme in honor of his 51st birthday.  During lunch make a donation to The Chris Hixon Scholarship fund and hang a candle in his honor. During the day you may wear a party hat to celebrate his life. This evening you could have a pizza party by ordering from Pizza Primo between 4-8pm to support NJHS.  If you take any pictures with your party hats or order pizza tonight for a pizza party take a picture and post it to social media using the hashtag #ChrisHixon51 to share with his family how you are celebrating his life and legacy.
