STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Mr. Glover chose Samantha W. as our Student of the Week
Samantha always has a great attitude and is always willing to help out. She is a very reliable and dependeable person who is always ready with a smile and a cheerful greeting.

TRACK
The Ypsilanti track meet that was rescheduled for today is offically called off.  CANCELED. 
Boys practice is on.

GIRLS SOLVE IT
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS SOLVE IT group!  They have qualified to move on to the State Level Competition!  Way to go Jillian, Mady, Noelle, Elli and Rachel!!

BOOK FAIR
May 21st-25th is our Scholastic Book Fair from 10:30-12:30 daily. We will be setup in our Media Center. There will be a big Buy One, Get One sale as well! Parents are welcome to come in and shop during our book fair.

BOX TOPS
Teachers and Students, we are making one final push for Box Tops before the end of the year. We will collect until May 24, 2018. 
Please bring them in a ziplock baggies with their name clearly marked along with their HR teacher and the number of Boxtops inside. Teachers please ask a students to tally the number of boxtops and then bring them to the office.
The winning homeroom will be able to eat treats outside on a 'picnic' during homeroom!!

MSTEP AFTER PARTY
THE MSTEP AFTER PARTY IS THIS FRIDAY FROM 6 TO 8
WRISTBANDS ARE ONLY 5 DOLLARS
WE HAVE MUSIC IN THE CAFETERIA WITH DJ COCHRAN FROM THE WEST SIDE.
GLASS CITY MOONWALK RENTALS WILL HAVE A 60 FOOT OBSTACLE COURSE AND JOUSTING ARENA.
THE DUNK TANK WILL HAVE MRS. PRIDGEON AND MR. ALLISON TO START THE NIGHT OFF I DARE YOU TO DUNK THEM
IN THE GYM WE WILL HAVE VOLLEYBALL
FOR CONCESSIONS WE HAVE  POP – HOTDOGS – WATER –
THIS IS THE FINAL PARTY FOR STUDENT COUNCIL PLEASE COME AND HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE.
ART STUDENTS
Attention BJHS Art students letters have been emailed to students chosen for the Young Arts For Our Future Show.  If you received an email from Mrs. Copley Sansom please share the information with your families.  The awards will take place onThursday May 24th at 7:30pm.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Copley Sansom.

CHROMEBOOKS
Please remember to charge your Chromebooks.  We had at least 18-20 students that came to school with their chromebooks not charged.

YOUNG WRITERS' DAY, MAY 24, 2018
The Junior high will be holding a Young Writer's Day on May 24th, during 5th, 6th, and 7th period.  This event celebrates creative writing and allows students to share and develop an original work of fiction in a safe and structured  environment.  This is open to all grade levels. If  you are interested, see Mrs. Matlow (room 35) or Mr. Lorenz (room 38).

HEALTH ROOM RULES
Unless it is an emergency, students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from.  If you are coming between class, you should get the pass from your next hour teacher to let them know where you are. 

RECYCLING AT BJHS
Stop.... don't throw away your old , dried up markers! 
 We are excited to participate in collecting and converting our markers into clean energy. 
Teachers, this also includes dry erase markers. There is a container behind the door monitor, please put all old markers in this container! 
Together, we are helping our planet one handful of markers at a time!

ALL MULES MATTER
All mules matter meets every Monday during homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.

CHARITY CLUB 
Charity club will not be meeting until further notice.

BUS NOTES
Bus notes need to be brought  to the office in the morning to be stamped before school starts.  Absolutely no notes will be stamped after the afternoon announcements.  If the note is not stamped you will have to ride your normal bus home.

EXIT PASSES
Exit passes can be given if a written note from home is turned into the office.  All notes are to be brought to the office before school starts so your exit pass can be written.  Then you are to report to the door monitor at the time indicated on your pass. Once your ride arrives you can exit the build to go to your appointment.  You CAN NOT exit the building without a pass.  Make sure to turn your note into the main office before the morning bell so they can issue you a exit pass.

BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker. 

EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.  

8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone must be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches.
