STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Mr. Balazs chose Collin H. as our Student of the Week
Collin is a wonderful student and is a great addition to the class. Collin comes in everyday with a positive attitude and can add his great sense of humor to any situation. He pushes himself academically and is willing to pitch in and help fellow classmates when needed which is always appreacited. Collin's dedication will allow him to achieve great things.  

7TH GRADE GIRLS SOFTBALL
Our 7th grade softball team took two wins from Mason last night. Maddie Henegar pitched for the first with a mercy win 16-2. Offense was an awesome team effort, lead by Camryn Pudlowski and McKenna Dunlap. Patrina Marsh got the win in the second, defeating Mason 7-4. Offense was lead by Nadya Vogel , Patrina Marsh and Alexia Moussaed!

ART STUDENTS
Attention BJHS Art students letters have been emailed to students chosen for the Young Arts For Our Future Show.  If you received an email from Mrs. Copley Sansom please share the information with your families.  The awards will take place onThursday May 24th at 7:30pm.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Copley Sansom.

CHROMEBOOKS
Please remember to charge your Chromebooks.  We had at least 18-20 students that came to school with their chromebooks not charged.

MEDIA CENTER MESSAGE
Students, do you have an overdue book or owe fines in the Media Center?  If so, until Friday, if you return a late book or come ask about your fines, all of your fines will be removed.  Stop in the Media Center if you have any questions.

WRITING CLUB - Meets today
Do you ever find yourself daydreaming in class?  Would you like to be in a place where daydreaming is not only accepted but encouraged?  Then come to Writing Club every Thursday from 2:45 - 3:45 p.m. in Miss DePorre's room, # 49.  It is time to take that imagination and use it where it counts!  Please be sure to have a ride home, and we will see you there!!

BIBLE STUDY CLUB - Meets today
All students and staff members are cordially invited to attend Bible Study Club.  Bible Study Club meets today after school from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. in room # 23.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Please see Mrs. Brown in room # 23 if you have any questions.

YOUNG WRITERS' DAY, MAY 24, 2018
The Junior high will be holding a Young Writer's Day on May 24th, during 5th, 6th, and 7th period.  This event celebrates creative writing and allows students to share and develop an original work of fiction in a safe and structured  environment.  This is open to all grade levels. If  you are interested, see Mrs. Matlow (room 35) or Mr. Lorenz (room 38).

HEALTH ROOM RULES
Unless it is an emergency, students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from.  If you are coming between class, you should get the pass from your next hour teacher to let them know where you are. 

RECYCLING AT BJHS
Stop.... don't throw away your old , dried up markers! 
 We are excited to participate in collecting and converting our markers into clean energy. 
Teachers, this also includes dry erase markers. There is a container behind the door monitor, please put all old markers in this container! 
Together, we are helping our planet one handful of markers at a time!

ALL MULES MATTER
All mules matter meets every Monday during homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.

CHARITY CLUB 
Charity club will not be meeting until further notice.

BUS NOTES
Bus notes need to be brought  to the office in the morning to be stamped before school starts.  Absolutely no notes will be stamped after the afternoon announcements.  If the note is not stamped you will have to ride your normal bus home.

EXIT PASSES
Exit passes can be given if a written note from home is turned into the office.  All notes are to be brought to the office before school starts so your exit pass can be written.  Then you are to report to the door monitor at the time indicated on your pass. Once your ride arrives you can exit the build to go to your appointment.  You CAN NOT exit the building without a pass.  Make sure to turn your note into the main office before the morning bell so they can issue you a exit pass.

BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker. 

EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.  

8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone must be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches.
