GIRLS BASKETBALL
Bedford 7th grade red defeated Adrian Blue 31-8 improving their record to 3-1. Grace Ryan scored 27 points and dominated the boards. Julia Martin played outstanding defense despite being knocked over by vicious moving screens. Bedford red plays at home Wednesday and Thursday.
Bedford red 8th grade opened the second half with a 20-0 run and defeated Adrian Blue 30-8. Sarah Przyojski led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points followed by Olivia Kruk with 6. Caia Albain played well with 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Bedford red improved to 4-0 on the season.
Bedford 7th grade white lost a close one to Dexter Maroon 18-15. Bri Common led in scoring.
Bedford white 8th grade lost at home against Dexter Maroon 26-10.
WRESTLING
The JHS wrestling match, Ypsi Comm @ Bedford, on Thursday, February 16th has been cancelled. The Ypsi Community JHS team will be participating in Bedford's JHS invitation on Saturday, February 18th instead.

SCI- FI CLUB
Attention students interested in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. This week the Sci Fi club is meeting on Thursday at 2:30 in room 23. Our featured guest is local author Jim Beard. Mr. Beard will be answering questions regarding his newest release Planet of the Apes: Forbidden Zone and his upcoming book for Marvel, Spiderman: Enemies Closer.

You may not wear clothing items that are sheer without some sort of undercover. Leggings and shirts with sheer material must have something under them so no skin shows.

CODING CLUB
Coding club will be beginning on Tuesday, February 7th from 2:30-3:30 in Mrs. Kay’s room, 202.

LACROSSE
There will be a kick-off meeting for lacrosse players and parents (high school boys and girls, and junior high boys) onTUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH IN THE HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA AT 7PM.
All those interested in or considering playing lacrosse this year should attend, particularly PARENTS. The Bedford Lacrosse Association will present important information regarding fees, sign ups, volunteer needs, board vacancies, and the like. Also, the coaches will be on hand to answer questions and, as in the past, the coaches will meet with their respective groups to discuss important dates, activities, and expectations.We look forward to seeing you all on February 7th, and to getting things underway for another exciting lacrosse season!
MATH LEAGUE TEST
Attention students. This year’s competitive Math League Test is coming up soon. The Math League Test is a timed test, in which students’ scores are compared against their peers in our school, as well as those in surrounding counties. If you are interested in taking the test, please let your math teacher know. If you have any questions you may talk with your math teacher, or Mrs. Brown in room 230.

Due to the misuse of the microwaves in the lunchroom both are inoperable.
We will no longer have microwaves for students to use.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Top collections !! This year we will be collecting box tops and having a friendly competition between home rooms. This is an easy way to fund raise for the extra things our classrooms my need throughout the year. Just ask your students and parents to clip and save. Deposit them in the collection boxes with your homeroom name on them (or place in Mrs. Nimigean's mailbox in the high school or Mr. Muck's mailbox in the junior high).
We will collect for 3 months for each giveaway.
Winners will be awarded the first of December, March and June (top collector in each building). Make sure you get them turned in for a homeroom treat!

Students who are leaving school early for an appointment should remember to come to the office first thing in the morning before school starts to receive an exit pass. They should not give their notes to their teachers. Do not wait until lunch to receive your exit pass.
DROP OFF ITEMS
Students, if your parents drop off items for you during the day, they will be held at the front door with our door monitor. Please listen to announcements during the class changes for your name. At that time, you may pick up your items from the door monitor.

When getting off of the bus in the morning, be sure to stay on the sidewalk to get to the junior high. Do not walk on the cement island.

Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break.CHROMEBOOKS ARE BEING BROKE AT AN AVERAGE 10 PER DAY AND THE EXCUSES THAT ARE BEING GIVEN ARE MOSTLY DUE TO IRRESPONSIBILITY. WE ARE RUNNING VERY LOW ON LOANERS AND IT IS TAKING 4 WEEKS FOR A REPLACEMENT. SOON THERE WILL NOT BE ANY LOANERS TO GIVE OUT, WHICH MEANS THEY WILL NOT HAVE A CHROMEBOOK TO DO THEIR HOMEWORK WITH. PLEASE HELP US KEEP AN EYE ON HOW YOUR CHILD IS TAKING CARE OF THEIR CHROME BOOK.
