SCI-FI CLUB
Attention students.  On Thursday in room 23 at 2:30 we will be meeting in order to debate and discuss one of the most important issues facing teenagers and adults today.  This issue has caused rifts in families. Friends have become enemies.  This issue has divided a nation.  Embrace the debate and join us for our discussion, DC Comics or Marvel Comics.  Please plan to attend Sci Fi Club and enjoy the discussion.  Make sure you have a ride home.

BLOOD DRIVE
NJHS is partnering with the American Red Cross once again this year to host a Blood Drive at BJHS.  Although students must be 16 years old to donate BJHS students can help save lives by recruiting donors.  The blood drive will take place on Wednesday March 22, 2017 from 3-8pm at BJHS.  Please encourage your families and friends who are over the age of 16 to donate blood.  Appointment request forms can be found in the office, or you can either call 1 800 RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code : BEDFORDJH to schedule an appointment.

MICROWAVES IN LUNCHROOM
Due to the misuse of the microwaves in the lunchroom both are inoperable.
We will no longer have microwaves for students to use.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Top collections !! This year we will be collecting box tops and having a friendly competition between home rooms. This is an easy way to fund raise for the extra things our classrooms my need throughout the year. Just ask your students and parents to clip and save. Deposit them in the collection boxes with your homeroom name on them (or place in Mrs. Nimigean's mailbox in the high school or Mr. Muck's mailbox in the junior high).
We will collect for 3 months for each giveaway.

Winners will be awarded the first of December, March and June (top collector in each building). Make sure you get them turned in for a homeroom treat!

HANDBOOK REMINDER
Students who are leaving school early for an appointment should remember to come to the office first thing in the morning before school starts to receive an exit pass. They should not give their notes to their teachers. Do not wait until lunch to receive your exit pass.

DROP OFF ITEMS
Students, if your parents drop off items for you during the day, they will be held at the front door with our door monitor. Please listen to announcements during the class changes for your name.  At that time, you may pick up your items from the door monitor.

SAFETY REMINDER
When getting off of the bus in the morning, be sure to stay on the sidewalk to get to the junior high. Do not walk on the cement island.

CHROMEBOOKS
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break.CHROMEBOOKS ARE BEING BROKE AT AN AVERAGE 10 PER DAY AND THE EXCUSES THAT ARE BEING GIVEN ARE MOSTLY DUE TO IRRESPONSIBILITY. WE ARE RUNNING VERY LOW ON LOANERS AND IT IS TAKING 4 WEEKS FOR A REPLACEMENT. SOON THERE WILL NOT BE ANY LOANERS TO GIVE OUT, WHICH MEANS THEY WILL NOT HAVE A CHROMEBOOK TO DO THEIR HOMEWORK WITH. PLEASE HELP US KEEP AN EYE ON HOW YOUR CHILD IS TAKING CARE OF THEIR CHROME BOOK.

HEALTH ROOM VISITS
You must report to your next hour teacher before coming to the health room unless it is an emergency. That way your teacher knows where you are.
