HAC will be closed for the summer beginning July 13.  Please review grades before they are gone! 

8TH GRADE RECOGNITION - FRIDAY, JUNE 6
8th Grade Recognition will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Doors open for parents and guests at 7:40 a.m.  If a student is planning to leave after  8th Grade Recognition, with a parent or friend, they must bring a note, signed by their parent.  Notes to leave early will be accepted today through Friday morning.  Parents - please check email for more information.     Sign out early!  Don't wait until the last minute! 

REMINDERS
No cell phones in pants pockets or sweatshirts.  
No cell phone use during lunch.

DRESS CODE REMINDERS
Shorts should be finger-tip length.
There should be NO holes, rips, tears, or frays in pants or other clothing.
Tank tops should be modest.

MEDIA CENTER  /HAC REMINDER
Any student having a late book or overdue fine will not be able to view their final grades on HAC, or get their schedule for next year.

YEARBOOKS ON SALE 
Extra yearbooks are on sale for $45 during all lunch hours.

8TH GRADE PANORAMIC PICTURES
We have a few extra panoramic pictures available to purchase.  The cost is $15, and they are in the office.

CHESS CLUB - GRADES 6, 7, 8 - Last meeting tomorrow!
Chess Club meets on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in room #130.   See Dr. Robinson in room # 130 if you have any questions. This Thursday is the last time the club will meet this year.

FRESHMAN HONORS ENGLISH
Honors English 9th grade summer reading assignments should be picked up in the counseling office.  See Mrs. Connolly.

JUNIOR HIGH CROSS COUNTRY
Are you a 6th or 7th grade boy or girl who wants to get in shape?  Do you want to get better at running? Maybe you are just bored and want to try something new.  Join the Cross Country Team this fall.  Everyone who joins the team will get in better shape, be a better runner, and have fun being part of a team. If  you are interested, talk to Coach Jakubowski in room # 24 or see Coach Davis in room # 2. Or, if you are a 6th grader, go see Mrs. Scheffer in room # 221.  Just give them  your name and email.
      
MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEER TRYOUTS  - 
Hey incoming 7th and 8th grade ladies!  (Current 6 and 7th graders) Cheer tryouts will be held on June 9th, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Thursday, June 12th, from 5-7 p.m.. We will be holding a short parent meeting on Thursday, June 9th, at 5:30 p.m.  The location will be announced soon!  If you didn’t make it to the clinic, please email us to receive the paperwork and sign in with us at bedfordcheer@gmail.com. All participants must have a physical on file.

HIGH SCHOOL SIDELINE CHEER TRYOUTS
Official tryouts will continue on Thursday, June 5th, from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, June 6th, from 2:45-5:00 p.m.  All participants must have a physical on file.


HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PHYSICALS-TODAY
High school sports physicals will be available today, June 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bedford High School for only $20; cash only.  Please arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. to guarantee you will be seen.  Athletes need to arrive with their physical exam/medical history form filled out and signed by a parent, which can be found on the MHSAA website at www.mhsaa.com   Contact Mercy Sports Medicine Online (419) 343-0005. 

SUMMER DRIVER EDUCATION CLASSES
Attention 8th graders; if you have a birthday by October 16, October 23, or November 14, 1999, or earlier, you are eligible to take summer driver education classes.  There are three segment 1's this summer. Forms a are available in the main office.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMERS - SUMMER SWIM CAMP - JUNE 26-28
There will be an All American Swim Camp at the Francis Family YMCA June 26-28, 2014.  Coaches will be:  NCAA All American Swimmers, Collegiate Coaches and Former Olympians.  If you are interested in attending, please pick up a flyer in the office; or see Swim Coach, Mrs. Bauer in the health room.  

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' SWIM AND DIVE TEAM 
If you are an 8th grade girl interested in being on the Bedford High School Girls' Swim and Dive Team for Fall, 2014, there will be a brief meeting on Thursday, June 5, at 2:45 p.m. in the junior high cafeteria.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Bauer in the health room.

BEDFORD VOLLEYBALL CAMP - GRADES 6, 7, 8
There will be a Bedford Volleyball Camp this summer for girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.  Please pick up a flyer in the office if you are interested.  Register early to make sure you don't get closed out! 

ATTENTION ALL GIRLS IN GRADES 7-9 - FOOTBALL TRAINERS
Any girls interested in becoming a football trainer for the 7th or 8th grade football team next season (current 6th and 7th graders) should see Mr. Muck in room # 201 to pick up an application.

Any girls currently in 8th grade interested in becoming a football trainer for 9th grade next season should see Mr. Vergeils in room # 231 to pick up an application.
The deadline to turn in an application is Friday, June 6, 2014.  

FOOTBALL REGISTRATION 
All students interested in playing football in the fall - Please check your GMail for a football registration form. Fill it out and submit it - ASAP.

AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Students should ride the bus home after school.  If they wish to attend or watch an after school event, parents should bring them back to school.  Students are NOT allowed to wander the hallways during events.  If you do come back to school, or stay after school to participate in a club, please be sure to stay in the area you belong in.

BE PROMPT!  DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt!  The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.  

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
NJHS students should remember to check their email for upcoming events.

8TH HOUR
