MORLEY FUNDRAISER
If you brought your Morley Fundraising Money in to school, please bring it to the office at this time. If you forgot your money, please remember to bring it to school tomorrow.

GOOGLE APPS PERMISSION SLIPS
Google Apps permission slips were mailed home.  Please return your signed permission slip as soon as possible to the junior high office. If you misplaced your form, please stop in the office, and pick up another one.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in.  (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.)  Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back.  To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.

STUDENTS INTERACT
Students who are attending Students Interact today should report to the cafeteria when they arrive at school. They should NOT go to first hour.  Attendance will be taken in the cafeteria.

CHARITY CLUB AND BIBLE STUDY CLUB COLLECTION
The Charity Club and Bible Study Club are teaming up to collect socks, gloves, and mittens.  Let's all work together and bring in some socks, gloves, or mittens and hang them on the tree in the cafeteria.  What a great idea!

AFTER SCHOOL CODING-BUILD SOME AWESOME GAMES AND APPS GRADES 6, 7, 8
Do you want to have some fun after school?  On Tuesdays, attend the After School  Coding Club in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m..  Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.  

COOKIES FOR BOOKS
Mrs. Vogel's 6th grade class will not be selling cookies today.  They sold out yesterday.  Thank you to all who purchased cookies.  Proceeds will be used to purchase books for the classroom library.


REFLECTIONS
The theme for this year is "Believe, Dream, Inspire"
Enter in any of the 6 categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Film Production, Music Composition, and Dance Choreography. You can enter more than one category and/or more than one entry within a category.
The entry deadline is December 6th, at Noon! Entries can be turned in at the Media Center. Entry forms are on the counter in the Media Center. 
There is also a copy of the rules in the media center and posted in the Media Center windows. Rules are also available online at http://www.michiganpta.org/program/reflections.html or at http://bedfordptareflections.weebly.com/. Please check the rules before turning in your projects.
For every Reflections project entered, the student will earn one entry into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate.

YEARBOOKS ON SALE TODAY
Yearbooks are on sale now; and it is the cheapest time to purchase one.  Make sure you order your yearbook early; the price increases soon.  The cost is only $43.   Yearbooks are sold during all lunch hours. Make checks payable to BJHS. Flyers were given to each student, and additional flyers are also available in the office.

FRIENDSHIP PHOTOS
Have your friendship photos taken during lunch!  The cost is only one dollar per person.   

7/8TH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL
The boys 7th grade white team defeated Dexter Maroon last night 16 - 6.  Jackie Harris led the Broncos' scoring with 10 point,s followed by Bradley South with 7 points.  Garrett Sexton played great defense and added 4 points.  Reid Kohler, Austin Hammer, and Cole Marciniak each added 2 points.
The white team will next play Chelsea at home on Thursday at 4:15.

Bedford's 8th grade White team lost another tough battle last night to Dexter 41 - 33.  Nolan Ansara led the way for the Broncos with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Zack Lewandowski and Evan Barr both chipped in  6 points, 2 steals and 3 assists.  Michael Greely added  6 points and 5 rebounds.

Bedford's 7th grade red basketball team lost a close one to Chelsea Gold 27-23.  Tyler Welch paced Bedford with 10 points followed by Austin Malabanan, Bobby Slusher, and Jacob Gladieux with 6 points each.  

The 8th grade red team had a great team effort win over Chelsea Gold 34-10.  Jared Bronikowski, Zach Haigy and Robbie Keister led the scoring.  Jake Day, Evan Roach and Vince Adduci also played well.    
HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
Once again, our junior high school students, in partnership with the Bedford Lions Club, will be sponsoring the BJHS Annual Holiday Food Drive for families who are in need of community support this season.
Please consider donating to our food drive by having your child bring in non-perishable food items during our food drive   The collection will last until December 6, 2013.  Food baskets will be delivered on Saturday, December 7, 2013.  

The class that brings in the most will win a breakfast put on by the Student Council.

Families are invited to receive holiday food boxes.  As a result of the commitment of our students and staff members, our community will be provided with a happy holiday.  Our students and staff will be aware of the number of people in each  receiving family; however, they will NOT be aware of the identity of the families. If you wish to apply for a basket, please complete the form that was mailed to your home by November 18. Additional forms are available in the junior high office.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS
Many families are struggling right now because of the economy.  The Lewis Avenue Baptist Church would like to be a blessing to families in need in Bedford Township this Thanksgiving season.  Simply call the Lewis Avenue Baptist Church (734) 847-6771, and they will deliver the basket to your home on Monday, November 25th through Wednesday, November 27th.  They would like  every home to have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

OHIO SKATE NIGHT
Plan to join your friend for an evening of fun at Ohio Skate on Thursday, November 21, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.  Admission is $3.50 at the door.  Skate rental is $1.00 if needed.  This is a Community Ed sponsored event.

BEDFORD'S GOT TALENT
Come out to audition for Bedford's Got Talent today or tomorrow, Thursday, the 21st.  Sing, dance, twirl, tumble,or juggle.  All kinds of acts may perform. Today the auditions are from 3-6:00 p.m.  On Thursday, tomorrow, the auditions are from 6-9:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  See Mrs. Matlow in room # 32 for more information or stop in the office for a flyer.

SAVE YOUR POP TABS!
Here is your chance to take part in a community service project!  Bring in your pop tabs, and they will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. They will be recycled for cash to help the children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a Children's Hospital that helps children in need of medical care and allows the family to stay close to the hospital.  Bring in your pop tabs now to the office or to Mrs. Currie's room 
# 203.   

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
NJHS students should remember to check their email for upcoming events.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot.  We want to make sure everyone is safe.  With the dark mornings now, it is unsafe to walk on the through the depot.

8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. Eighth hour is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:35-3:25 p.m.  Mrs. Benisatto will meet students at the double doors in the front lobby. Attention Girls Cross Country team:  Practice will end early today at 3:30 p.m.  Make sure you have a ride home.

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL
The varsity volleyball team pulled out a close win last night winning the 5th set 16-14.  They play at State on Thursday and Saturday!  Good luck Mules!

VARSITY SWIMMING
On Friday, November 22, five Lady Mule Swimmers will travel to Eastern Michigan University for the MHSAA Division 2 State Swimming and Diving Championship Meet.

Lauren Sullivan, daughter of Mrs. Sullivan, will be competing in the 100 Freestyle Relay.  Other team members competing are Lexi Marok, HannaEdison, Hannah Asselin, and Logan Dewey.
