WELCOME BACK!!

ATTENDANCE:                                                                                                                                  During Phase 4, all students who are not physically in school will be marked absent. Absences will only be used to determine who we need to account for in case of an emergency evacuation and for contact tracing by the health department.  During this time, absences will not be tied to attendance or truancy in the traditional sense.

Actual participation/attendance will be determined by the student's work completion which will be filled out separately by the teachers. Please ensure that your child is actively engaged in classwork and completing homework by checking Schoology.

As a parent, you are able to turn off attendance notifications, log into your HAC account, and click the Attendance icon at the top. In the upper left-hand corner there is a box that you can UNcheck to stop notifications. HERE is a screenshot of what you will see.

If your child did come to school but was marked absent, please email Debbie.Kitzmiller@mybedford.us to report the issue.

Reminders:

No cell phones during school hours.

Masks must be worn at all times, covering both mouth and nose unless eating or drinking.

SPORTS: The Bedford boys cross country team beat Adrian on Wednesday in middle school cross country.  The final score was Bedford 27 Adrian 32.  Bedford was led by Aiden D. who ran a season best of 12:19 for the 2 mile race.  Bedford had a strong team showing placing 16 of the top 20 runners.  Other Bedford runners running personal best times were Dylan S., Braxon L., Owen P., Cam V., Brody M., Grant R., Maddi D., Jack F., Logan T., Isaac H., Caleb P. and Jayden M. Junior high football practice will begin on Monday, September 14th from 5pm-7pm. Please meet at the field between the high school and junior high. You are required to bring a water bottle, hand sanitizer and a mask to participate. If you did not obtain an MHSAA sports physical for the 2019-20 school year, you will need to do so BEFORE Monday. If you have a physical, the 2020-2021 MHSAA Health Questionnaire is still required.
